Lee Bowyer has been offered a new contract by Charlton.

(again, suggests there is no takeover....)

Players sometimes say that before they leave a club.

 

This is going to be a testing period.

We are in the play offs, finishing 4th or 5th, with 6 weeks left and are now just waiting to see who we play.

We need to keep our foot on the accelerator to ensure we do not repeat a no show like last season.

I want Sunderland as they draw too many games. F*** Portsmouth as they are due to whip us.

Really want the second leg of the playoff to be at the valley, the Swindon game we lost on penalties was a brilliant night atmosphere wise

 

We need to finish 3rd or 4th for that to happen, that is very unlikely.

 

We'll get Portsmouth in the play-offs, and it won't matter which leg is at home - we will beat them home and away.
Then it's Sunderland at Wembley for a re-run of 1998

Then back to the Championship next season The good times are returning for CAFC under Lee Bowyer.

 

I think that our lack of goal scoring options will stop us being promoted. If you look at our scorers this season you take away Taylor and with Grant being sold it leaves us with Aribo and Reeves who are sporadic scorers. Parker hasn't scored for us and Vetokele one or two. Williams hasn't scored and Fosu looks a different player to last Season.
It could be that Bowyer will not be here next Season.

 

If we do manage to get promoted it will be thanks to the defence. Isn't Jacko the defence coach?

 

I have no idea why Lee Bowyer prefers Djiksteel to Chris Solly at full back.

The lad is dreadful.

 

Keeping Solly fit for the play-offs maybe?

 

Solly was ill during the week.

 

Djiksteel is a def midfielder not a right back.... strange? Bowjackson said what a good game he had on Saturday if only he could cross.

 

I don't remember him getting a chance in the first team to show what he can do in that position, even when Cullen and Bielik have been unavailable.

 

That's because we don't have a back up right back … well we do … it's Djiksteel. a def midfielder!

 

Djiksteel urgently needs to work on his passing & crossing if he is going to make it in any position.
