After last night's fabulous officiating, normal service is resumed. All that the PSG players need to do is fall to the floor and feign injury....
1-1 Bernat. Still need two goals, but it would put them through now, instead of going to extra-time. Awful defensive line for the attempted offside.
United looked in trouble after PSG scored but they've come back really well. Game on in the second half. Excellent.
"He could've gone down there, red card, penalty." - Rio Ferdinand. It wouldn't have been a red card. Learn the ****ing rules if you're going to be a pundit, FFS.
Much better since Bailly went off. Didn't expect this with so many injuries, especially with midfield decimated. PSG don't seem to convincing in the CL - probably because they are used to cruising through games most weeks and are rarely tested. Come on.
Really harsh penalty and an omen for what's to come when VAR is fully rolled out next year. Defenders will be held to ridiculously high standards, requiring almost superhuman reactions. But a good result for us. I despise PSG and everything they stand for: seeing Neymar on the brink of tears is always a nice image to enjoy as a nightcap. At full strength they had to be one of the tournament favourites so aside from City and Barca there aren't any teams left that truly scare me. Extra fixtures for Utd is good and that is surely a long term contract for OGS in the mail?
So who is going to be the first English team to bottle it? Citeh or our mouser friends featuring Jurgen 'the wind is strong in Germany' Klopp
