Yes you're right he scored but it wasn't a match winner was it? It wasn't 3-3 on aggregate was it? It was still 0-0 when he scored.
I think the mousers have got Burnley at the weekend and providing Salah isn't adversely affected by gravity, it will be interesting to see how the match goes. I trust Klipperty will have the grass mowed very short and wind breaks erected around the corners of the ground.
No I don't, but up until the goal they were well on top and if they had scored that first goal who knows, did we look like winning 3-0 in the first leg? Goals change matches we scored early in the 2nd half of the first leg and got 2 more late on if they had scored when we did last night it could have been the same. From what I saw last night our goal killed them off, so I think that it was important.
Yes, we DID look like winning by three goals in the first leg because that was a bloody good Spurs performance in the second half wasn't it? It was deserved and without Kane. Now, I don't hate Kane at all because he plays in a white shirt but I DO think he restricts the others somehow. To answer another point Burnley have LOST both matches since playing us haven't they?
The Kane goal visibly deflated them. The fact that Munich have caught them in their league IMHO meant they were not prepared to risk a "death or glory" charge in the 2nd half lest a spanking cause worse squad morale.
The first leg we did play well in the 2nd half, but Dortmund were the better side in the first half and I don't think anyone was suggesting at that point that we would win by 3 and even with 10 mins to go at Wembley most of us were worried that we hadn't got the 2nd and they were still in it and certainly within Wembley it was a little tense, the 2 goals in the last 10 probably flattered us slightly. Re Burnley yes they have lost 2 in a row but confidence is a fragile thing, when they played us they were on a good run, got the rub of the green and pinched a win, it happens when you are on a run - we did much the same thing against Fulham, Watford and Newcastle.
I will repeat that Kane should have been benched and we'd have beaten Burnley. We were on a good run and it would have been maintained.
Anything. It's not right to criticise and mock something until you've tried it is it? What might seem like something daft might in fact not be.
Jesus H Christ we had a three goal cushion last night and some of you were worried that they'd score four goals, God, confidence must be low amongst you.
They average over 3 goals per 90 minute game at home. That would have levelled it up before extra time. Kane’s goal meant they had to score 5 in 40 minutes so it was important and effectively the winner.
Since the double deedub93. Bobby Smith, John White, Bill Brown, Maurice Norman, Danny Blanchflower, Peter Baker, Dave Mackay etc etc.
