I'm gonna bet on Chelsea and Utd running spurs close.

If spurs keep forgetting their own rule of dump the cups

bit early for fa cup calls.

    barring citeh of course.

city are red hot favourites for league cup... they are for every thing.

spurs are second or third favourites for fa cup as arsenal are playing utd and you can't predict who s coming through there.

I wouldn't call it particularly a crisis level.

    its been just below crisis.

We played a CM at CB. that i suppose would be called a crisis.

Now we will play a RW at RB (utd have done this on both full back slots for years) is that a crisis?

If we get the CBs back this week and have 2 then 3 then 4 fit cbs then the question is what crisis?

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is on course to give Liverpool a massive boost in pursuit of Premier League and Champions League glory.

The Reds midfielder has taken the next step on the comeback trail from a serious knee injury during this week's warm weather training camp in Dubai.

Oxlade-Chamberlain has looked sharp during some ball work sessions outside with the club's fitness and conditioning staff.

Liverpool remain reluctant to put a timeframe on his return but the ECHO understands that he should be back in full training at Melwood by mid to late February.

Roberto Firmino could be involved in Liverpool’s Premier League encounter with Watford on Wednesday night after Jürgen Klopp reported positive news on the striker’s ankle injury.

The No.9 sustained the issue in the first half of the Reds’ goalless draw at Manchester United on Sunday and needed to be replaced after 31 minutes of play at Old Trafford.

However, Klopp confirmed Firmino’s condition is not as serious as first feared.

He told his pre-match press conference: “He looks good, we were obviously lucky. It is not as serious as we thought in the first moment - if Bobby goes down and leaves the pitch it is always a bad sign because he’s a pretty hard boy.

“We play tomorrow and it will be very close for that, but there’s a big chance for the derby [on Sunday]. m“Because it’s Bobby, I would say yes ‘played Sunday and then Wednesday immediately.

“Writing Bobby off is a big mistake because he recovers pretty quick.”
es [there is a chance for Watford]’, but I don’t know if I would use that chance because we played

Oxlade-Chamberlain set to make return for U23s on Friday

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is scheduled to take a significant step in his recovery from a serious knee injury with a comeback appearance for Liverpool’s under-23s on Friday.

The midfielder has been out since last April when he damaged cruciate and medial ligaments, plus the tendons to his hamstring, in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Roma. The severity of the injury was kept from Liverpool’s players at the request of Oxlade-Chamberlain until their European campaign was over.

Jürgen Klopp admitted last July that it would be a bonus should the 25-year-old make a competitive appearance for the club this season but the England international is on course to beat the anticipated 12-month lay-off. He has been training with Liverpool’s first-team squad for several weeks – “70% of team training then he leaves a bit early to do something else and the things he needs,” his manager said last week – and is set to play against Derby County for the under-23s on Friday.

Liverpool had considered Oxlade-Chamberlain for the “mini-derby” with Everton on Monday night but opted against a comeback in a more charged contest with their local rivals. The midfielder will be involved for Neil Critchley’s team at Derby instead as he eyes making an unexpected but much welcome return for Liverpool before the end of their title-chasing season.
