    http://www.cfcnet.co.uk/2011/09/08/nostalgic-norwich-based-blue/

"Norwich fans are not the most passionate in the world. Indeed, they are as many people imagine, shirt wearing, happy clapping, flask drinking people who seem to turn up in the way that normal people attend the cinema, to be entertained."

So I'm not passionate about my club, so why am I, like most of my mates, completely hoarse after every game ? <doh> Besides, at least all of our supporters are TRUE fans and not 'plastic' glory hunting numbnuts !

"Since this match the fortunes of each club have changed dramatically. Chelsea, of course, on their day are one of the best teams in the country, full of International stars. Norwich are a half-decent first division outfit."

'first division' ? This article is dated 08 September ! What a patronising git !

I know, I really shouldn't be posting this but this guy has wound me up !

He can't even get the Pub name right. It was the Jolly Maltsters and stood on the other corner of Carrow Road to the Kingsway ( now the new block of Flats ). The Maltsters was bought by the Council by emergency compulsory order for road widening/improvements and was immediately demolished. 30 years later it is still waste ground and we are still waiting for the road improvements and still waiting for Councils to stop wasting our money. At the end of its era the Maltsters was a Courage pub that sold a decent pint of Directors - hands up anybody old enough to remember drinking a pint or three of Directors ln the Maltsters.

Hypocritical bastard. They're so quiet it's as if they're watching tennis at Stamford bridge.

i can honestly say that chelsea have the least vocal fans i've ever (not) heard... except arsenal ;)

seriously though, that is one of the most idiotic articles i've read in a long while. god knows where and how you found it!! the author has got so much wrong it beggars belief. this is coming from a fan of a club who correct me if i'm wrong, have to supply 'fans' with plastic flags to wave in order to 'create' some form of 'atmosphere' inside their ground. norwich have one of the largest, most loyal and vociferous away followings in the entire country!! we regularly take more to away games than so-called big clubs such as villa and everton, often in a league lower.

the author is EXACTLY the kind of 'plastic' that give genuine chelsea fans a bad name in my opinion. indeed, i know one loyal chelsea fan who has witnessed them playing 2nd division football not so long ago and he despairs when he sees stuff like this. obviously he loves the success they have had but he feels he has lost his club to people who know nothing about their heritage and what its REALLY like being a chelsea fan. now i can see what he means...

<doh>I have been living in London for nearly 12 years now and have been to all the clubs to watch Norwich away in the capital, i usually just turn up on the day and sit in either end it doesn t really bother me. When we play the big teams like Spurs and Arsenal i have to book early or use one of my mates season tickets for Arsenal where as Chelsea always have tickets on the day. It is common knowledge that Chelsea and Fulham are tourist clubs where any Tom Dick or Yoshi go to experience the Premier lg experience.
Now you have to ask yourself, why is arguably the 2nd richest team in the World packed with internationals not able to sell out there medium sized stadium every week?.
Arsenal and Spurs sell out nearly every game without the same standard of squad.
Chelsea are easily the most plastic club in the capital, not even Warnocks boutique club are as bad as that..

True, they are the most plastic, and would melt if you put them near a naked flame, but if QPR do ok this season. I expect more money pumped in and then chelsea and QPR will become the Barbie and Ken of football.

My Grandad first took me to Carrow Road in 1950 and after that I went to every game with my Grandad and/or my Dad. The Club was built on family support and tradition and still is. Each game I sit next to my Son and when I can get the tickets sorted out my Grandson will join us. In the late 60's/early 70's I spent weeks working away in London and went and saw a couple of midweek matches at Stamford Bridge. Their support then was the saw as ours - the ordinary man in the street and families. Fast forward 40 years to the current Stamford Bridge and that traditional support has gone forced out by a combination of moving out of the area because of the cost of housing and forced out of the ground by high prices and facilities for the Chelsea tractor driving, prawn sandwich munching Hooray Henrys that Chelsea have gone out of their way to attract. Resumably the 'real supporters ' have had to move on to the few true London Clubs left such as Fulham, West Ham and Millwall. They call it progress!!!

It is an article written by somebody with no knowledge of Norwich. He may live here, but obviously does so wearing blinkers. The views he puts over are generally those of most oursiders but who cares what they think. We all know the truth as does anybody who has ever worked for or played for the club. Let others think what they like, we have nothing to prove to anybody.

Also, I remember having a conversation with a friend from the North East. He described Norwich City as a 'fun club'. Well, my thoughts are that following your team SHOULD be fun. if it is not then what is the point? He was suprised that I did not take that description as an insult but it did make him think.

I was at that game Zola scored a backheel from a corner and i spent the entire match looking at concrete as the ceiling as the away end had crappy restricted views, they are a tourist attraction now not a football club

The only plastics at Carrow Road are the seats, all of which are taken.

Ipswich tossers, gotta humour them. <ok>

I loved the Jolly Malsters, used to go there regularly before matches, and also when I worked at Colmans, for the odd four lunchtime pints. Anyone else remember the landlady Monica?

Was in there once when Chelsea fans wrecked the place (70's), sums them up really.
