Seeing the Nomads howling about how we're The FA's blue-eyed boys is ****ing hilarious. Are they really so divorced from reality they can't see Mike "****" Dean ****ing us over consistently - including in two NLDs?

Case in point... look back at his lame attempt to stick out a foot just before Burnley's winning goal. It was pathetic.

  5. I appreciate that's tongue in cheek and would agree to some extent, but this guy shouldn't be able to commit that kind of dangerous assault. Banning is the only sanction that might a) protect his opponents and b) influence some change in his behaviour.

It's not like Xhaka has suddenly come to notice as a 'red mister'. He's been like this from Day 1 in the PL.

We drew a match and signed a player.

Obviously yesterday was not of this timeline...

No, but Spurs fans in particular seem to want to look for reasons not to support the team or individual players.
Sissoko used to be laughed at, Trippier is the current fall guy.
If the player is picked by our manager then I'm going to support him.

If someone was cast aside every time they made a fek up, I'd have been on the scrap heap years ago. However, one must learn and not do the same thing again.
Kunts on twatter were knocking Sanchez after yesterday, I guarantee you now, in three of four years he will be the best central defender in Europe.

To err is human, to forgive means you're a proper fan.

Every game is a fresh start and players and fans need to treat that as the most important thing on earth for 90 minutes. If we can all do that.....

Sanchez has been singled out a few times this season, IIRC he was getting it after the losses to Watford and Palace

The thing with a lot of lightning rods we've had is that more often than not they're getting the blame for others' mistakes, for example a few seasons ago Daws was regularly getting slated for constantly being caught out of position even though the real issue is our midfield didn't offer the back four any kind of protection and was easily bypassed by a well-timed through ball, and that's why he was often caught out of position - something which never happened when we had Palacios, Sandro or Parker anchoring the midfield

To be honest, some of the crap being shouted around me at the NLD reminded me of the sad arses on ArsenalTV.
Would be embarrassed to be like that.
I take the piss on here but FFS some of them act like self entitled plastics.
One of them claimed Trippier put in the worst ever performance of a spurs player so I reminded the tart about Gilberto's debut amd he responded...
    Who?

Most of the time the Lunatic Fringe are amusing due to their remarkable inability to say anything rational or logical while sounding like a bunch of entitled manbabies, but when you see some of their more prominent dullards organising a dogpile onto anyone who disagrees with them (a regular tacic employed by ****ssoko and SpursGotLevyd on Twitter, often backing each other up) it's about as funny as the far-right drivel they tend to also post on their Twitter timelines

And, no, that's not a generalisation

That's why I posted it, exactly the same reaction to me, apart from the fact that I was halfway through my 7th pint and I was watching it with a gooner.

Please don't mention Gilberto's name, mate. Always brings back nightmares!

As for Spurs fans, I just think there's a stale mood at the moment. I sang as usual yesterday but the atmosphere for a NLD was really poor until we scored. Didn't feel that fiery atmosphere we usually provide from minute one. The Wembley issue plays its part in that but I also think recent results and performances have played a bigger part.
It's another season of where our players/ manager have talked a big game but yet again not walked it and I just feel fans are a bit tired of this whole "always the bridesmaid" scenario, especially when we done nothing in the summer or January to try and change that status. When you get that feeling, I think people then start saying OTT stupid ****. Trippier was poor again but the worst ever performance? Absolutely not but as emotions run high, people say stupid ****.

Based on our last five meetings, I'd say they were nothing without Mike "****" Dean...

TBH I think it is a society issue.

3 years ago Leicester fanswere like
"If we win the league I wouldn't care if we were relegated and never won anything else again."

After the won the title (the ONLY trophy they have ever won) there were calls for him to be given the freedom of the city and to be given a huge long term contract to make sure he stayed.

Just 6 or 7 months later a minority called for the managers sacking and most "reluctantly" agreed with it, even though they were in the 1/4 finals of the CL.

This year their manager helped the club get through the horrible helicopter crash. They are not going to qualify for Europe, or get relegated and are out of the cups yet instead of waiting til the end of the season the fans were demanding he was sacked.

City were made rich overnight... bought everything and anything yet it took them 3 seasons to come 4th and 5 seasons to win trophies.
That was at a time when there was way less money available to other teams in the league so it was much easier.

We are in Pochettino's 5th season. We have dramatically improved which has raised expectations.

We would have given our left leg to be like this just 4 years ago.

Yet instead a sizeable chunk prefer to seriously moan and even want the owners out.

I haven't even mentioned the new ground yet.

To me there is a sense of entitlement in the world that is odious and football is awash with it.
Tbh the glass half empty attitude of some at the NLD was pityful...and that's coming from RCL ffs <laugh>

So much of the Lunatic Fringe's waffle can simple be countered with "Do you remember the Sugar Era?"

By "countered" I mean "They shut up at that point" - either because they do, or because they don't
