And today's rumour - https://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwi...manchester-united-track-ben-godfrey-1-5885603 IMO, he's worth MORE than £10M!!! Whichever League we're in, I'd rather he stayed.
Saw that. Have to say I’m surprised, though I think he could really make the grade later. For CBs/defensive midfielders I can’t help but feel they come into their prime 25+ when they have that experience. If he were to join a big club now he’d get no game time and so would not develop the experience
But when we go up in May, Godfrey, Aarons and Lewis will all get the PL experience they presumably crave (or at least their agents do ) rather than sit on the bench or play for the under 23's at some 'bigger', more fashionable club No point whatsoever them joining a perceived top 6 / top 8 side as they may never get a competitive game at that level.
Merely a stepping stone to a far bigger club but unlike, say Shaun Wright-Phillips, JM went about things in the correct way, i.e. proved his worth at the top table before jumping at the biggest pay cheque on offer. Sound boy
Is it me of is Lewis flying below the radar. Yes Aarons & Godfrey are great prospects, but Lewis has been pretty consisitent at this level for longer.
There's less of Lewis in the media but I wonder if the Heise purchase was in part because Norwich expect to sell in the summer? Might be reading too much into that.
Not enough numbers from Jamal on offense. Zero goals and three assists hasn't put his name in the news a lot. Plus he's not the new kid on the block anymore.
Flying under the radar is good, having a second LB that can cause real competition and play there if he is "super injured" is what we needed. Hopefully they push each other to new heights
Just had a look at League 1 and Luton are 6 points clear of 2nd with a plus 37 goal difference. After the success of Max Jamal and the signing of another up and coming defender from them recently , maybe we should make them our new feeder club like we used to with Leeds ?
