Diame decent today. Rice nothing special. Rondon tried. Alan Smith waste of space.

West ham are a good side I remember saying the same after watching them destroy us at home.

Not far off the top 6 sides imo bar a terrible start they'd be up there.

Hats off to them a processional performance against a side Full of confidence.

We are miles off top half in terms of quality I hope people consider the reality before being too critical of our performance.

I said before kick off we looked good against ****e teams and would lose this game.

If you think Diame is anywhere near Rice's quality you should give up watching football.

I don’t judge players on one game. Re-read and you will see my comment is in relation to today’s game only and on the performance today. Diame decent and Rice nothing special hardly a comment on either players overall abilities or potential. Maybe you should try reading before commenting, I know I try to but it’s not always easy. :)

Rice put Longstaff in a big shadow today. No disrespect to wor Sean, but there's a helluva a difference and Rice has done it all season.

Wet Spam have better players and were at home. Anderson is miles ahead of anything we have, but then should be for £40m. We tried, but Pellegrini set them up really well and their big lads gave Rondon nothing. Sadly some of our Championship level players returned to that level, Ritchie/Manquillo/Hayden particularly poor. We'll still win more than we lose, but it does prove the fat man has got miles to go before we're a competent PL outfit. Diame the bright spark when he came, really beasted the midfield, looking forward to him stepping in next game.

Bad day all round. Nothing fell for us, ref was against us, and conceded two goals we would never normally concede. No passing from the back at all today, and when this team is 2-0 down, it's game over, we just don't have the personnel to launch an assault. Coupled with some awful crossing and worse finishing, it's one to forget. On to the next.

To paraphrase Sir Thomas More in a Man for all Seasons

“For England? Why Big Ern, it profit a man nothing to win the most tackles for his Club versus Newcastle . . but England!”

They did play some good stuff, too, really got out of tight spots and clearly had a plan to play balls "round the corner", several players kept doing it like Lanzini, Anderson, Snodgrass, caught us cold too often. Think that's why we went back four - stopped that happening, but we then ended up a bit rabbits in headlights at the other end.

West Ham vs Newcastle is the same level of difference as Newcastle vs Hudds. With the same scoreline.

Rice, who has just turned 20, is one of the best DM's in the EPL at the moment, but, obviously you don't find winning the ball back and making sure don't give it away important, so I'd like to know what is.
Personally I think it's sour grapes because you lost, as even the spuds fans can see he's class.

Their sub left back (Masuako) is better than any full back in our squad. Declan Rice will make/save them an absolute fortune, here's hoping we have either Sean (or young Matty) Longstaff come up to that level.

That Diop's a class act at CB, too. Big unit, mobile, reads the game and only 22. Won't be there next year.
