Been done before and it will be again, but I'm bored and all these polls are confusing, so lets get some formation porn into us. What are we thinking for Monday?

    Krul
    Simpson Taylor Coloccini Santon
    Obertan Tiote Cabaye Jonas
    Best Ba

Elliot Raylor Kadar* Gosling Guthrie Marveaux Lover

    * will be Perch, I know

Strongest team and bench I'll have seen us field for a few years I reckon.

I would love to see Marv get a game. I was impressed against Scunny. Yet Obertan was good against Fulham. Hard choice for Pards. I would even replace Jonas with Marv, and that might make Jonas play better.

They're just guessing I think, based loosely on Pardew's praise of Raylor. I can see it happening but hope it doesnt. If Perch had been doing a great job at left back (difficult to imagine, I know,) we would still want him out at the first opportunity, and Raylor is a liability in defence as well IMO.

Agreed, but it's the type of stupid **** that Pardew will do. Better to start him against QPR than give him the baptism of fire against Villa next week vs Heskey and co. <laugh>

  9. Why play 4-5-1 against Qpr? Their best CB is ****ing Anton Ferdinand, we should play 4-4-2 and attack them.

    The team i want is:

    ---------------Krul-----------
    Simpson--Taylor--Colo--Santon
    Marveaux------Tiote-----Jonas
    -------------Cabaye----------
    -------Ba------------Best-----

Possibly swap Cabaye and Marveaux and put Obertan in for Marveaux?

I can see Raylor keeping the LB slot for the next two games, both away from home (QPR and Villa) with Santon getting twenty / thirty minutes in each. I think Santon will then start v Forest in the LC and Blackburn at home. Other than that don't see any changes really.

I have a feeling we will LOSE badly and Pardew will get sacked. 7-1 QPR.

Attack them with what? Best and Ba don't really fill you with confidence. Plenty of goals in that midfield too!

    Marveaux over Lovenkrands, otherwise unchanged.

Bring on Santon for the last 20 minutes for whichever full-back's getting pasted.

Probably because none of our strikers compliment each other well enough to play as an attacking pair. Personally I'd prefer a flexible 4-3-3 / 4-5-1 like this than have 2 similar strikers up front. And if we're going to play Lovenkrands up with Best then why not make it Marveaux or Jonas instead as they bring more to the pitch than Lover.

A 4-3-3 like on the break against Fulham the other week wouldn't be bad, that was deadly!

    I'd love to see :
    ---------------Krul-----------
    Santon--Taylor--Colo--Raylor(Ferguson)
    Obertan------Tiote-----Jonas
    -------------Cabaye----------
    -------Best------------Ba----

But I doubt that Pardew will change a winning team. Also even if Raylor is cr*p, his set pieces have won us 3 points and kept us in the Carling Cup, so until we have a reliable strikeforce I'd stick with him on the left (because on the left he'll have more cover from Jonas than Obertan)
