    Looking forward to it already.

Great win tonight, very pleased to see Roberts come on (not least because we need him to).

How dare you use evidence! Aren't you aware that Chesh's fairy stories are the only truth?

I've given up with him. I've done more research for him on this thread than I ever did when studying politics in college. Every point you disprove with evidence, he yabbers on about froth, constantly changing the subject & making accusation after accusation. Anything but admit he is so wrong a 5yo could prove it to all & sundry. But not him. <doh>

The Treasury said no such thing. They are Civil Servants. I think you'll find that it was incompetent tories that uttered those words, and have gone to great lengths since then to prove how incompetent they really are. So if you're looking for bull, find a tory.

My point was it’s a reflection of my own personal experience and I recognise it’s not a fair reflection of everybody else’s. We all grow up in different places have had diffferent lives and careers and have different stories to tell. My dealings with immigrants (which is a pretty wide ranging group to lump people into) have been largely positive both work and personally based. But I understand that it’s different for others.

Don’t knock the Scots. We had to have someone daft enough to dress up in bright red uniforms, armed with pea shooters, and walk very slowly towards the enemy.

    1. BBC News - Treasury chief's note to successor: There's no money
      news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_politics/8688470.stm
New Chief Secretary to the Treasury David Laws has revealed his predecessor left him a note reading: "I'm afraid there is no money." Mr Laws, speaking alongside Chancellor George Osborne, said he opened the note expecting some advice only to find it was "slightly less helpful".
get back in the time travel car WJ looks like your going back in time again to change more history.<laugh>

I'm afraid WJ is still subtly correct as you said they said 'there's no money left' where as what the note actually said was 'there was no money'.

The Tories kept using 'there's no money left' as that implies that Labour has spent it all as opposed to 'There's no Money' because of global financial crisis

    https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/liam-byrnes-infamous-no-money-1990195

It was still a stupid joke and a stupid thing to leave but it's been misquoted ever since to make Labour look worse.

FFS, Chesh. So much nonsense & so little research. <doh>

David Laws was part of the tory coalition government, so a politician. He was previously an investment banker. Ha! Immediately that should tell you that he tells bigger fibs than you do. If you went to open an account at the bank, you'd probably fall for it & drop your trousers so he could give you his promised generous deposit. :emoticon-0172-mooni

Oh, and if you think I'm lying, check this out .... https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ne...-Laws-his-secret-lover-and-a-40000-claim.html <yikes><yikes><yikes>

Somehow evaded going to court after embezzling £40k of our money - typical tory, getting away with murder. You really expect me to take this nonsense seriously? <laugh><laugh><laugh>

Can't be many people about that believe in everything a turd-burgling tory banker says. They'd need to be really, really stupid. Oh, wait a minute .... <doh>

Now I really would like to get on with my weekend instead of rebutting the nonsense you're incessantly spew out. Becoming very tiresome. :emoticon-0113-sleep

Labour spent all the money,as they said, slagging off a persons private life etc shows desperation on your part but doesn't change anything, you're still wrong

    AGAIN
Ps talking of really stupid,he wasn't a Tory.Do you get anything right ?

Now absolutely convinced you got dropped on your head as a child. <doh>

Not desperation. Fact. Something you're clearly not able to discern.

It's not a private life matter when an MP steals our public money. You're focussing on what he spent it on, not the fact that he did it. If he did it in the private sector, he'd have been jailed without question. Are you really saying his evident untrustworthiness is not germane to the matter at hand? <doh>
