firstly apologies if the title is not PC. I only found out what they are (not being scottish)

secondly i got the idea off a footy post on the UTD board (so thanks that fella)

    anyhoo

Imagine you met the girl of your dreams, and she was a hun/tim and you were the opposite. what would you do if she celebrated all that you didnt?

not even if she supported celtic/rangers and you the other, and during a match her team scored and she went 'YES, FOOKIN GET IN'? and your mates were around and supported your team

In all honesty i am still uncertain. I had always asumed catholic/protestant celtic/rangers.

however i have copied and pasted the first thing off google

Celtic are called tims based on an amalgamation of Catholic gangs who called themselves the 'Tim Malloys' from the Calton area of Glasgow in the early 1900's.

Rangers are called hun from the word 'Hanoverian' - protestant monarchy from Hanover, Germany who came to the British throne in 1714 with King George 1st, which in turn led to the Jacobite rebellion.

I suppose i could have used Ireland too. orangemen and all that.

I have a similar issue. I'm a gooner, my best mate (known him since i was tiny) is a spud. We were friends before we got into football, but we have actually gotten into proper arguments on derby days.

Well I don't support either so that's not an issue anyway but, no, it wouldn't bother me as there are more important things to be concerned with.

Yet no matter what you tell Celtic fans 'Hun' isn't sectarian no matter what the media, government and Police say <doh>

You are just very stupid Pwesty.

I don't know why anyone would revisit an argument they have lost so many times without ever bringing anything new to the debate.
Unless of course you have something new to add?
