I gave up my ST for last season, as I wasn't being 'entertained' on my visits to CR during the 2016/2017 season, but I could see chinks of light in our play towards the end of last season and TOTALLY agree with DF that we needed to convert more of our chances. Even in my wildest dreams, I would NEVER have thought we would be scoring goals at an average of almost 2 per game. I was reading something on the EDP Website and some senior fans had visited 'On The Stall City' and apparently EVERY one said that they can't remember such an exciting season. Yes, they've seen more skilful players, but for sheer enjoyment/entertainment, this season tops the lot!! #agreed
Love that chart. It does show, though, something we have suspected for quite a while which is that the number of goals we concede per shot is a bit higher than we would like. Shots against us pretty low, but shots per goal conceded is pretty high. Not sure we can blame Krul, who has broadly been a success (personality wise in particular) but it is something that needs improving. Maybe by improving defensive positioning and danger awareness, by preventing opponents getting in goal-scoring positions. Also (as highlighted above given Millwall ) we need to improve defending set pieces...
Defending and attacking set pieces we are bloody awful. It's the only real fault I can see in our side. Never look to score from a corner, barely beats the first man, always nearly concede from one. Mass panic in our area.
My little brother hadn't been to a game for a couple of seasons. I took him to that. He paid for a membership the next day. Amazing game.
I was cosming back from Wymondham about an hour ago and saw several Sanders coaches full of Canaries fans heading South for the game!!
