Saw Bad Manners at Nene College in Northampton in the 80s ... absolutely cracking night ... word of warning ... if you are near the front (we were) they completely drench the front of the audience with huge vats of beer at the climax of Special Brew ...
ive probably seen them a dozen times mate.. i was also at the madstock, the first madness re-union at finsbury park. i just get excired by the specials gig for some reason
Saw Madness in Leicester back in the 80s too ... even had a beer with them in what was then 'Scamps' as I recall ... my cousin worked behind the bar ... bunch of absolute ****ing nutters ... but sound
There’s the O2 arena and the academy. The O2 arena is the NIA just off broad street. The academy is an old nightclub toward Chinatown. There is another which is at an old rave club the institute in digbeth. All good. Saw Richard Ashcroft at the arena last year. Saw happy Monday’s at the academy and the foals at the one in digbeth.
The one by China town. Used to be called the dome. They used to film a disco night night in there in the late 80’s early 90’s. Can’t think what the tv show was called. Seen a few good bands in there. Last one was the happy Monday’s. Was a great night.
