You liked it so maybe go back and reread the first sentence of Canary Rob's post. Then go look up bankrupt.

Technically some would put you in the silent generation (1925-45) with baby boomer starting at 1946-64 but many start it from 45 so reckon you can be silent or baby - which ever you prefer?

Oct 2008: 'But in a speech in London this morning, Mr Brown will say the Keynesian principle of increasing public spending and fast-tracking major construction projects to stimulate the economy is the right strategy to pursue'.

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance...48/Gordon-Brown-vows-to-borrow-and-spend.html

    also

Oct 2008: 'He (Osborne) accused Mr Brown of abandoning fiscal responsibility in favour of the "failed and discredited" Keynesian demand management techniques which led to soaring inflation in the 1970s.' and "Or the responsible Conservative plan. Let the Bank of England cut interest rates now and lay the ground for lower taxes later.'

You can certainly blame Brown for not doing enough to regulate the banking industry pre crisis but you can't credit the Conservatives on that issue - they were complaining that he wasn't de-regulating the banks enough. However in terms of trying to get out of the mess Labour were doing a much better job compared to OSborne and austerity - a discredited approach that has casued the issue to go on longer and inflicted needless pain along the way - the last 9 years have proved not only are they financially illiterate but ****s to boot.

It's no good talking about it,he didn't invest in infrastructure, unless you count paying £2000 rents for London dole wallers and illegal immigrants,2008 is when I came back from NZ my sister in law who has a paid for house and savings totaling around the half million mark was getting £130 a week in tax credits. She even said to me,I don't need this money but I'm not going to turn it down. It's taken too long to cut the Welfare waste and more of the burden should have been put on the rich and banks, but don't tell me it was spent on infrastructure which was and still is underfunded and ****.

So you're complaining that he didn't spend in that last 2 years (despite the fact that he did) but are now saying that we should vote for the party that over the last 9 years has cut, cut, cut and blown a golden ****ing opportunity to spend. That Northern Powerhouse twat Osborne who had 6 years in control of public budgets and had access to historically low levels of interest and hasn't even managed to get an upgraded railway line from Liverpool-Manchester-Leeds-Hull. You're sticking up for that twat and his fellow twats?

These twats https://www.theguardian.com/society...e-bigger-cuts-in-public-spending-report-finds and that's before we get on to what the ****ers have failed to do with housing.

As for taxing the rich - the top tax rate under Labour was increased to 50% above £150,000 it's now decreased to 45%

Just like brexit it's like a great big ****ing Turkey looking around for that 25th December box to tick.

He didn't spend on infrastructure, choosing to spend on dole and immigrants instead, and the Tories had no money left to spend as the scots biggot had wasted it all.I do agree the rich should be taxed more, but the only ones who would do that, would give it to immigrants and the dole, instead of low paid workers who get screwed by both sides.

Immigrants make an average fiscal annual contribution of £440 more than the average UK citizen. https://d2rpq8wtqka5kg.cloudfront.n...3VYY~oREtw__&Key-Pair-Id=APKAJVGCNMR6FQV6VYIA

Jobseekers allowance is just 4.1 billion of budget where as housing benefit is 16.9 billion it's economic madness that we are not spending more on creating more housing to reduce that bill (which would also create more employment) but then take a look at how many MP's currently make money as landlords from housing benefit.

Unemployed in London should be given 3 months to find a job, after that they should be made to move to areas like wales, scotland or Newcastle where rent are reasonable,it's supposed to be for emergency not a by choice way of life. And I don't believe you immigrants post, never met 1 yet that's not claiming some benefit, old hook hand said himself, take the easy benefits the infidels supply. His family still pull in many thousands and don't work.

When I moved and lived in NZ you couldn't claim 1penny until you had paid tax for 3 years, should be the same here.

You’ve never met an immigrant not claiming benefit? Maybe you need to broaden your social network.

Well there's 6,000 Poles in Crewe and 50% of the workforce where I work are immigrants.I've been an immigrant myself but didn't clame any benefits I worked, and so should the ones here. They shouldn't be able to clame for wife and kids in Poland,Romania either.

I lived in London for 20 years and used a bit of European labour during that time. Generally I found they did jobs the natives didn’t want to do, turned up when they were supposed to, worked pretty hard. The locals often couldn’t be arsed wanted stupid money, we’re always on the make - when they weren’t skiving in the pub bitching about immigrants taking their jobs. Just my experience, not suggesting it’s a fair reflection.
