The Leicester City "spiral" watch!

Ranieri was brilliant for us ... but he had a whole pre season to prepare ... and the sigings of Okazaki and Kante ... at Fulham he had to try and do something with a team that had already got one manager sacked ... not sure anybody could have come in and turned that ship around tbf.. .

He'll always have a special place in the hearts of Leicester fans ... currently only Gardiola has achieved as much in the English game ... the rest are still trying to match him

 

Ranieri is a very likeable guy but he’s an average manager. He’s been at loads of clubs and rarely lasted very long. That Leicester season was a perfect storm and he quickly reverted to type.

This, he came into Leicester after Pearson had won us 7 of the last 9 the season before to keep us up, he just turned on the charisma with the media and let the backroom staff get on with it.

No ... Pearson did not give either Drinkwater or Simpson a look in ... he also played Vardy on the left wing ...

Ranieri paired Vardy with Okazaki through the middle and soon introduced Kante ... the only team in the Big 6 we played during the end of season run under Pearson was Chelsea and we lost 3-1 ... indeed Chelsea stuffed us in every game under Pearson...

Under Ranieri we only lost 3 games in the title winning season ... twice to Arsenal and away to Liverpool ...

No real comparison ... Ranieri's tactics with us were completely on the money ..

 

Ranieri also finished 2nd with Chelsea ... and assembled the team that Mourinho then won the title with .. sorry Wizard

 

Also Jose Mourinho who was also sacked this season, same as Ranieri.
