Spurs will now face, in a title context at least, the usual hackneyed allegations of "bottlers" and "Spursy" - insults to a team and manager who have, until now at least, kept up with the searing pace set by Liverpool and Manchester City. It has been an achievement to stay on their shoulders for so long.

It’s surprised me, luv. Given the lack of investment I thought if we made top 6 that would be reasonable for us. Although I’ve never considered us serious contenders for the title

The problems, as I see em, I’ve laid out in another post. Whether we can regroup and hold onto our top 4 spot, we’ll see.

Trippier and Davies are no better than bang average and Rose is only up to putting in the occasional good performance. In midfield we’ve no replacement for Dembele. Wanayama looks permanently crocked, so we keep playing Sissoko and Winks in game after game - with the odd appearance of yet another academy player, such as Skipp.

Some serious investment will be needed in those areas if we’re not to regress further.

Genuine No-wum question here, would you (or any other Spurs fan who wants to answer this) prefer to retain Kane and push for nothing other than mediocrity (5-7th places) or sell him and use the funds to invest in pushing on to the next level on the pitch?

You’re probably going to lose Eriksen and Alderweireld end of this season and they’ll cost a fortune to replace, as well as having to buy CM’s and service huge debt on the stadium.

Add to that your manager may want to leave and it could be a huge mess to sort out in the space of 2 months, which is not enough time.
