Was a Div 3 match on Match Of The Day? It definitely wasn't a Cup Match. One of my lads learnt a lesson that week. I was bringing my kids over for games when the team they played for didn't gave a game, taking them for a pint or two though they weren't 18. One of them had been acting up so I told him he wasn't coming. So after watching a procession if dire matches he missed that one. Didn't teach him a lasting lesson though, he continued to be a lairy prat and still is.
Not sure. It’s the highest scoring game I’ve seen and I seem to remember the commentator on a highlights programme referring to Rioch as a he bustled forward to score as ‘Barrel Chested’. It’s not on this club commentary - but I’m sure it was for Riochs goal from the left on a highlights programme.
A compliment, really. That was the way Tottenham greats Bobby Smith and Dave Mackay were referred to. Though Gregor wasn't quite up to their standards.
Wasn't he only here for 2 or 3 seasons - until his contract was up? He used to get a bit of stick but I didn't mind him. He had a truly spiteful left foot - cup match v Scarboro I recall being a fine example of it.
Have a day off.... as much as you don't give a 4x about my posts and even if you agreed entirely with them you'd still use the word ***, I can assure you you're wasting your air time with your expletives...
I always liked him - he wasn't the most skillful fullback we'd ever had but, you always knew he'd left nowt on the pitch at the end of the game. Last time I saw him play was for Macclesfield in the cup game where Theo made his debut; it was also the last time I saw John Fenwick (some on here will remember him) - he was sat just in front of me, loudly abusing any Macc players/lino/referee who were within vocal range. Pissed it down for 90 minutes anarl!
I remember that. Really well and truly pissed it down - I was on the open terrace behind the goal too.
You tight git Trouty - we paid an extra quid to transfer to the 'scaffold plank and tarpaulin' seating area
