Good Morning Everyone QPR recorded their first points in eight games as Leeds terrible run of results in Her Majesty's Capital continued. A goal four minutes after the half time break by 'man of the match' Luke Freeman was enough to separate the sides as Leeds continued to waste chance after chance. Leeds have won once in 14 tips to London! The social media trolls were out in force last night pointing their finger at Ayling and Roberts labeling them useless and shocking! Brown came on for a 10 minute cameo appearance obviously eager to please. His enthusiasm to try to make the difference in such a short amount of time almost saw the Chelsea loanee sent off. In my opinion Brown should have been given at least 30 minutes game time to give him a proper opportunity to make his mark! Thoughts? After the game, Bielsa was pictured sitting alone outside the dressing room “silent and staring at the ground” What next for Friday?
Morning all... Bielsa got a few things wrong yesterday but hindsight is a great gift. I think Ayling is getting some rough treatment, a couple of errors and he is pounced on although saying that I felt Dallas looked okay when he came on. I’ll moan in here on a forum about players but not on Twitter, it’s too destructive to our own and wrong. If a player wanted to look in on a fans forum and have a read it’s by choice, totally different to fans attacking them on Twitter and sending tweets to them or tagging them. On the match day thread I’ve said where I think it’s going wrong and it’s the Roberts and Bamford combination. Roberts looks caught in two minds, shoot or pass, a Saiz in that position with his mind in the right place I’m convinced we would be top of the table.
Morning all Its doom and gloom everywhere but in fact lots of positives. We are equal 2nd in the toughest league around with 12 matches left. If we get a bounce-back on Friday we lay a marker down. last night was frustrating yes and when Kiko is your best player and Harrison is your best outfield player you know the team a had a bad night. Chances going begging again and it is only that hurting us. When Roberts is playing No10 we haven't replaced Saiz and when Pablo plays No10 we are missing Clarke. We are a make do and mend team at the minute missing 2 big players with players that have been out injured finding their feet again.
Not a lot to say really, shows what a lack of investment in the Jauary transfer window does for you. Seem to remember we have been here before.
Good morning all (if you can call it that) Although trying to stay positive yesterday,i just new QPR would beat us,and so it came to be.Something has got to change as were really struggling at the minute,it's gonna take urgent action before it's to late, and the only possible outcome is a play off place.I just wish i new what could be done, the only thing i am sure of is that despite all our possession,we carry very little threat going forward, but with our thread bear squad what can be done ?.Bit i don't understand is up until recently players were contributing goals from all over the park, that just seems a distant memory, now even barn door Billy Painter is made to look like William Tell at the moment
I got shot down for saying we need a target man up front. Again we got shoved off the ball. I wanted some steel in the side and the only one who showed any last night was brown. Was told its ok we have got bielsa ball and are going up. There comes a time to win ugly or scrape draws and we cant do that. Why did bristol let Ayling go and keep better players . I dont think hes changed he is just the same never rated him. No pace and no physical side will not get us autos. Sick of hearing me say it?. Bielsa once again thought his way was the only way. Pablo at ten one striker and two wingers Douglas back in and kick pineapple up the arse for faffing around.
My concern is we’re not matching our performance on the pitch that we were the first half of the season. Everything looked too rushed yesterday and it wasn’t just that game, our current form isn’t great, we’re having to dig deep and grind a few points out. I guess for many myself included it feels like deja vu and we think back to being so close before under Monk and then our form dropping away and after a great season so far we don’t want it being ruined again. January’s lack of transfer activity is starting to now look bad, we only replaced one keeper with another, it’s not good enough when you were in top spot. I get what you’re saying Doc about waiting for a player to return but we’ve been doing that all season, Berardi was missed at first but I don’t want him replacing Pontus or Cooper now, many felt Alioski covered LB better than Douglas, Ayling was missed now he is slated every game, Bamford was missed but I thought he was poor yesterday, Forshaw was missed he came back and it didn’t work, when these missing players come back something is still not quite right. I’m stabbing in the dark like we all our with opinions and thoughts but for me it’s only having Pablo as the creative threat and that means we need to create a threat somewhere else, if you haven’t got a creative enough player scare the opposition with some pace. Bielsa is a fantastic coach but why he persists with the likes of Roberts and why Brown is only given 10 minutes is a mystery to me. Alioski, Pablo and Harrison against WBA bring brown on with at least 30 minutes to go if he really isn’t ready to start. If he is then keep Pablo wide and drop Harrison who I thought had another poor game myself
If only we still had Chris Wood,He would have made this side almost complete & things would be different now, probably with a points cushion at the top of the table. Still we haven't and gonna have to do our best with what we got, whatever that is ? ones thing for sure though the players need extra training on where precisely that wooden rectangular thing is at each end of the pitch
Morning all. No positives from last night except two great saves from our keeper. Lots of time to digest that fiasco. A few points, last night wasnt our first poor performance. Weve been poor since the Derby game. No matter how good a coach Bielsa is he can make mistakes and underestimate the strength of the Championship. The argument was that we only needed players in January that would improve the team. Fair enough, can someone explain how it would be difficult to find better than Harrison, Roberts or Dallas? Id find them in League of Ireland for a few quid. Most pundits and fans pointed out the fiasco that was the January window. Youve only to look at the bench last night to see how few options if any there were to change the game, thats the fault of lack of investment. Small squad killing our chances of changing things around when needed. Several starters also not good enough to be in a promotion chasing side at all. People still clutching at straws with the whole Brown thing as hes the only real option remaining. Anyway, we move onto Friday night and the mission is simple. Win or bust.
Based on last night,we should have signed ME,WJ,SHAKO and WAKEY in Jan,that would have improved last nights team.
Good Morning to M and co from a sunny Seacroft yes I still await Open Reach Last night must be a wake up call or I fear the playoffs In the Jan window Sheff U got 2 forwards Madine and Scott Hoganso no worries if someone gets injured AR spent zero and now we are left praying no one else gets injured.Brown should be given his chance now he will not be bullied by the cheats atWBA and this is the type we need now forget pretty football we need warriors Going to Magpie soon with this lovely weather Moe wants to take her car out with the top down! She just loves to drive fast
Morning all. Birmingham are making a dash for the play offs. Monks team is creeping up there after a good result at Bristol. Win Friday we are top again and maybe others will feel the pressure
And i’ll Shoot you down again fella. If we play target man football, we’d be another Millwall battling relegation. You can’t take the benefit of a certain way of playing then complain about the weaknesses in it. It’s like whinging your beautiful girlfriend doesn’t have big norks like her ugly mate. And since when were bad timed clumsy tackles showing steel? Frivolity aside, I think when sides park the bus, there is a time for putting some muscle upfront to change the mindset of the defenders, especially when we have centre halves marking thin air. Just not the bielsa way, and without the bielsa way we’d be mid table like last year.
Good news in that Bristol are a streaky side... have had good, bad and great runs this season but have now lost two on the bounce before we play them. Bad news is we have to go to brum too!
We need about 24 more points for autos or 12 for playoffs so all doable but only if we can get back to form of first half of season. If we keep going as present even the 12 will be hard got
The only thing I would add to prove a point. Last night 13 corners, where were the f—-ing resultant goals.
