I mean it's technically European, given it was part of both Alexander the Great's and the Romans' empires...
Sounds like a jolly paid for by the tax payers to me. It's a shame that they haven't go anywhere in Europe where they could meet. Not very green either, having to fly all of that champagne, caviar and fois gras out there and then having to keep it refrigerated. I guess that there is one bonus though, the carbon footprint for flying Russian prostitutes out there is next to zero because the place is already crawling with them.
Labour to formally announce support for People's Vote..... 6 months ago, even before Xmas, this might have made a difference. Now?
Contrary to the Narrative, it's not as if this is a sudden u-turn, because since the Labour conference the position has been to oppose the Dire Leader's deal, with a vote on Labour;s proposals, a general election and a second referendum all being on the table However, it does need to be pointed out that the second referendum part mainly comes from Keir Starmer and not Jeremy Corbyn based on their conference speeches last September, since it was Starmer drip-feeding the second referendum in his speech early in the conference rather than Corbyn throwing it in as a potential knockout punch for his conference-closing speech
Whoever voiced it, it was always ambiguously lost in the weeds of the 'master plan' - after 'new General Election' and '6 point deal'. Until Corbyn himself quotes it, its still just another unicorn in the unicorn zoo.....
Being lost in the wording is not the same as not having a plan, yet that's the Narrative we've heard since last September Talking about messages, has anyone spotted the obvious one from Tory HQ in recent weeks? As recently as a month ago it was the likes of Gove and Rees Mogg who would go on TV and tell the plebs how leaving without any form of deal was marvelous and you should all rejoice that their investments were safely tucked away outside the UK, but in the last week or so it's nonentities like Theresa Villiers being placed in front of the cameras instead. So either the likes of Gove and Rees Mogg are too busy plotting to address their subjects and the Tories have to find somebody who isn't busy to handle media engagements, or they're hiding for very different reasons.
Gove has been quite high profile last few days in his official role as Environment Secretary - upsetting the farming community as a whole and being ridiculed by the NFU. He also got a 10 minute slot to spew his lies in Marr last Sunday. JRM is clearly too busy relocating his business and plotting with the DUP to expose himself to public ridicule...
I'm trying to picture a meeting with the DUP and the haunted chimney, problem is I keep imagining John Cleese, Graham Chapman and Michael Palin playing the various roles... Speaking of playing roles, Anna Soubry is complaining that she's not allowed to campaign for prospective Tory councillors, with Chuka Umunna sat next to her nodding in agreement. Are the two of them so dense that between them they haven;t worked out that, having left a party, you can't campaign for them? Oh, right, this is the limited company that hasn't figured out that you can't access the Labour database after leaving the party, so probably not...
Who's going to save our planet with nuts like N.K's One Hung Low, Russia's "Me Tarzan",USA's "gimme your money or your daughter" Trump and on a softer note (in her head) Ms May. God help us all!!!!!
That's Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz threatening Trump's former lawyer Michael Cohen, they day before he's due to testify to the House Oversight Committee. Absolutely nothing wrong with that. Nope. Perfectly normal.
At least they chose the right day to do it. Then add on the second home close to parliament, and associated expenses, you can add another 200k. Why not build a new Parliament building in Doncaster or Huddersfield, it would save the country a fortune.
