    Swansea City v Bolton Wanderers

    Competition - Sky Bet Championship
    Date - 2 March 2019
    Kick off - 3pm
    Venue - Liberty Stadium

Following their lacklustre performance and consequent 3-1 defeat at Hillsborough, next up for the Swans is a home match against Bolton.

Last Saturday, Sheffield Wednesday's blistering first half ensured they moved level on points with the Swans.

In the absence of striker Fernando Forestieri, who was serving a one-match ban, Adam Reach stepped up to score two goals in 20 first-half minutes.

Stephen Fletcher added a third before the break with an overheard kick as the hosts showed a clinical edge.

Swansea pulled a goal back in the second-half through Oli McBurnie, but the damage had already been done.

Whilst the Swans were capitulating at Hillsborough, Leeds United maintained their challenge for an automatic Championship promotion place with a home victory over struggling Bolton Wanderers.

Patrick Bamford put Marcelo Bielsa's side in front from the spot after Tyler Roberts was fouled in the box by Pawel Olkowski.

But the visitors were soon on level terms when Mark Beevers forced a loose ball home moments after David Wheater's header from a corner was cleared off the line.

Bamford was twice denied a second by Remi Matthews, but the Bolton keeper was at fault when he misjudged Ezgjan Alioski's cross, which flew over his head and into the net via the underside of the crossbar, and they suffered a further blow shortly afterwards when boss Phil Parkinson was sent to the stands.

Following these games, the Swans moved up a place to 12th, whilst Bolton remained 23rd.

Some good news for Bolton this week was that an "agreement in principle" has been reached for owner Ken Anderson to sell the club.

A consortium led by businessman Parminder Basran, alongside businesswoman Sharon Brittan and entrepreneur Jeff Thomas is in the driving seat.

The Championship side is scheduled to appear in the High Court on 20 March with a petition made by HM Revenue & Customs.

The Swans have played the Trotters on 35 occasions previously, winning 11, losing 13 and drawing 11.

In the reverse fixture at Bolton in November, the Swans ran out 1-0 victors thanks to a thunderbolt from Barrie McKay

Turning to Saturday, I expect the Swans return to winning ways, running out 2-1 victors <cheers>

Bolton gave Leeds a run for their money so I’m expecting a tough encounter, with the Swans sneaking it 1-0<ok>

    I'd expect a reaction, so I'll have a guess at a boring 4 - 2. To us.

    Cardiff losing 0-1:

The former Swansea man Gylfi Sigurdsson has scored against Cardiff for the second time this season.

Nice finish as well, although I have to say how poor the opposition are , there are teams that play in the PL and then there are PL teams

A little known fact but we have beaten them quite recently with both Dyer and Routledge scoring . Admittedly it was behind closed doors but a win is a win

After watching their game tonight there is no one in Cardiff's side maybe with the xception of Bamba that would improve our current squad and that's not because it Cardiff but they really are that poor , bereft of any ideas or individual talent .Again there are PL players and there are players who play in the PL, a big difference

I hope the team talk at HT is given before the match <whistle> We have been notorious slow starters for a long time now and i want us to play our strongest team at the start of the match and not half way through when we are a couple of goals behind.....Hoping for 3 points...
