Man takes to task another man for singling out a newspaper. Then singles out a newspaper. Self unawareness taken to a new level.
No. I gave an example of how not reading particular papers because of a bias deprives you of things and is a sign of a closed mind. A poster takes lack of awareness to New levels? Now,, I wonder, which was the closed mind who thanked a poster for linking to an article by Martin Samuel, saying he would have missed it as he never reads the Mail, the paper that the article was in?
The only media outlet that’s worth reading is the bbc. It’s the only one capable of reporting on something without an agenda and bias.
Fifa is investigating the transfer payment for Emiliano Sala after Nantes made a claim against Cardiff City. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47384817
They have also so far failed to find Pilot Dave Ibbotson. This is despite having divers down evaluating the wreckage. I do hope that they find him for the families sake.
Sad to say there won't be much left - creatures such as shrimps and crabs strip a body in 3 weeks - only bones left - he's best left as Davy Jones locker for his grave
If you were somehow labouring under the impression that football agents weren't simply the worst kind of scum imaginable, then read this: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47406109
It was even worse listening to father and son spouting the same on the 6 o'clock news ...... it was vomit inducing!
I've just re-read it and it's made me feel physically sick. Every single word is aimed at deflecting any blame from themselves and onto anyone but themselves. As for the self-righteous claim that "they won't be chasing Nantes for the moment" for their one and a half million pounds blood money, the bile rises further. Or the self-pitying claim that they've been through Hell. Jaw- dropping, it really is.
Yep From confusing matters about who was actually working for who, through ‘we booked someone different and didn’t know who the actual pilot would be’ and ‘it wasn’t a cost sharing thing, we paid for a pilot, to...and this was the ****ing worst for me...’we’ve (the McKay family) have been through hell’!!!! Smells like a public pronouncement cleared by lawyers, made by a selfish **** to me...but what do I know
Contrite, egotistical, arrogant and a self centered individual, ah that's the description of a football agent!
Cost sharing of flights and or multiple owners of aeroplanes undertaking what is basically a commercial flight have been in practise for years. It is very muddled and very difficult to prove. The CAA attempted to clamp down on the racing fraternity, jockeys, trainers and owners, round about the late 80's early 90's. They failed. Their concerted effort needed only a few airfields watched to check the movements. They do not have the resources to oversee every flight from every airfield, nor will you be pulled over at 3000 feet by a Cessna with a blue flashing light. And so, what are commonly referred to as "dodgy charters" continue. Both the pilot's and aeroplane logbooks were lost which will make it difficult to ascertain how often this arrangement had been used in the past. Licensed airfields keep a record of movements, unlicensed strips do not. The high profile nature of this incident may result in very a thorough investigation of all aspects of this flight and how the aeroplane was owned and operated.
