Wow Rooney scored an over-head which bounced off his shin. Surely this means he is world class <laugh>. Rooney isn't mediocre or average. He's a good premiership player. World class, not in a million years. There is a lot of positives regarding Rooney ie his endurance, his enthusiasm and his work-rate.

But he does have major weaknesses. He has no composure, he has no left foot and he has a tendency to disappear, when the team he's playing for ie England or Man U is over-run, he ends up at full-back.

Rooney is a good player, but is not world class by any means.

they both make mistakes but Neuer has far better moments of glory and insane saves than casillas has. i also think that in 3 or 4 years time neuer will be easily or most likely is a better term the best goalkeeper in the world.

And yeah I'd personally say someone like lahm ( best rb in my opinion ) but vidic is a good shout, pique in 2 years will also be a very good shout, but it must be easier to defend when you play for barca, but no doubt hes top quality

Maradona one footed!!! Typical manc idiot. Did you see Suarez play at Ajax? I did he was truly brilliant, scoring goals from all angles and situations. Torres is a truly great player with the potential to be a world beater, but at the minute he'd struggle in league one.

You keep think Wayne's a world class player, intelligent footie fans know the truth. Watch his next performance, how many times did he make space to play the ball with his left foot and how many times with his right foot. He's a very good player, but world class never.

He is definitely world class, and amongst the 10 most talented attacking players in Europe, there's not much difference between him and Suarez though, in my opinion.

Considering messi started playing for argentina at 18-19 years old, you wouldnt expect him to have the best goal to game ratio, while suarez is a year younger than rooney, and started playing internation football at similar times.

but either way you do make a decent point, a bit odd coming from you tbh.

So im going to adress your second point first cause its easier and makes you look like the twat you are, yes lets blame aguero for not carrying the other 10 players in his team and driving them to win the champions league, the lad was third top scorer behind ronaldo and messi last year mate, what more do you want? are you saying you think rooney would out score either? no i didnt think so either.

Okay moving on, And rooney is? not unitl very late last season has united fans really started thinking about rooney in that role, and he does get alot of off passes, if your trying to suggest rooney hits every pass inch perfect your a bit deluded. and Considering i think if rooney was to play in the same postion as silva, i think silva would perform alot better, but hey thats just my opinion.

Dont get me wrong i rate rooney higher than silva, 4th best player in the world in my opinion, i just think your overrating his passing accuracy, not thats its bad anywayz.

I don't know if anyone has said the name and I don't feel like going back multiple pages, but for me, a player who seems to always be over-looked in all of the best player talk, is Samuel Eto'o. When it comes to a striker, he would be my first buy, pick, go to guy everytime. He is extremely lethal, pacey, and very crafty on the ball. He has won pretty much everything bar a WC or ACON.

Also in terms of Defenders, Puyol and Lucio ( I know they are getting on) but if you need reliable defenders, these two have been there done it and again won all that there is to.

    sigh... so much bias....

look, messi is clearly the best in the world and ronaldo is second. xavi and iniesta were short lists for world player of the year too but are radically different game times.. you lot are bascially hammering on about players i nthe english league and which is best not the original topic. aguero, tevez, rooney, silva.... they are all great.

one upping on over the other is pointless if its based on club bias.... so again i'll state sneider is the best player out there outside those 4. the others are all fabulous players too.

I wouldnt classify Eto'o as world class, especially not anymore, he'll lose his pace ( main asset ) in 1 or 2 years.

and yes id rate lucio as world classs.

Top five players in the world

    Messi
    Ronaldo
    Inesta
    Xavi
    Sneijder.

Best keeper. Caslias Best Defender. either Puyol or Vidic.

The english league is so sadly overatted, decent players getting hyped to the extreme.

I know we are talking currently but I would still have Eto'o in my team up front for sure. I know this is always going to be different opinions and all but for me is 100% World Class, when he loses his pace it will take a toll on his game but I think he is smart enough to change it up.

Lucio is a boss. I rate Carvalho as well, I felt he really picked up a lot of the slack in the back at Chelsea and immediatelly improved the CB situation at Real.

Havn't seen much German football, but Lahm is very good. Do think German football is on the up again, and the national team is a growing force.

Well they just recently took the 4th champions league spot away from Italy and the past two years have had a team in the semi or final of the champions league. I think they are definetely on the up, it is exciting to watch German footy now, and I hope ( I know Barrios is still injured and they lost Sahin) but I hope Borrusia Dortmund make a good run as they have an exciting young team and an awesome attack minded coach in Klopp.

Ya did a little family tree research and came back with " You are a mutt" but the dominant lineage is Welsh, thought I would throw it in.

But Suarez is? Talking out of your arse. Just after he dazzled you with a few step overs you are smitten. This shows you know nothing about football. Rooney has been consistent at the highest level since he was signed for United at 18.

His scoring record compares to that of anybody else in the league and he has been a huge part of United's success in the past 5 years. In fact in them 5 years few would doubt United have been the 2nd best side in Europe and along with Ronaldo and Vidic, Rooney has probably been the most important part of the side.

How anybody can doubt is consistancy is ridiculous.

When United are over run he tends to end up at full back because that is Rooney's nature. Always tracking back and wanting the ball. That will to win is a great asset that few players in the world can match, let alone forwards.
