Some might say that my tastes are a bit late 70's....

    Well here's some newer stuff....

Okay, so it's Paul and The Captain as The Sensible Gray Cells but it is new material.

You'll be pleased to hear that they are currently in the studio with Mrs B's mate, Martin Parrott the drummer of The Johnny Moped Band, recording new SGC material. Any chance of some live dates, boys?

RIP Mark Hollis - I saw Talk Talk at Canterbury Uni in 1981 supporting Duran Duran, and he had so much more presence than Simon Le Bon at the time, and I liked them a lot.

A bit late for me but my sister loved them. RIP.

You may not know that his brother,Ed, was the 'Eddie' from Eddie and the Hot Rods. He was their manager and a bit of a card.

I had a thing for those very early New Order singles. The first three or four were great, after that they left me cold for the most part.

    This is beautiful...

...and yes, Joy Division were a far better act.

Luke, the tunes are secondary, the lyrics are everything. This dude saved my life, when I was down and depressed and wanted to take my life, I listened to Misty morning and Kaya and the world all of a sudden seemed a better place. Jah Bob.

but if you want tunes, with sassy lyrics:
    iree ##

I dont often post on the music thread, but if I do it is likely to be Jah Bob......

Once you've watched all four, hit the like button. Don't even thhink about it unil you've watched them.

    Jah Bob

This one goes out to a mate of mine, Stevie G. No not that one. This guy was 'Stevie G' 40 years ago and now lives in New Zealand. In a time of BAD haircuts, he would regularly turn up with the worst haircut that you've ever seen. I remember rolling around the floor in a pub, close to having a fit when he turned up with a haircut that looked like he'd done it himself, with blunt scissors, without a mirror whilst riding a space hopper and another mate put this on the juke box...

"Spare us the cutter"......happy, golden days

You're running and you're running and you're running away, but you can't run away from yourself. Robert Nesta Marley.

Someone should explain this to every fekking sitting MP.
