    Good Morning Everyone

According to the Daily Mail, Radrizzani may be forced to sell Leeds if they do not win promotion this season!

According to the tabloid, the club’s financial model is unsustainable and Radrizzani would find it “difficult” to fund another promotion-chasing season, which could mean the sale of key playing assets.

Obviously, if Leeds won promotion, the club, albeit Radrizzani would be 200m better off!!!

If this newspaper article is correct, does it surprise anyone?

To me, the club have been incredibly conservative with their spending compared to most other clubs in the top six!

We have the smallest squad we have had for ages, and the only real incomings are Bielsa, Casilla (wages), Bamford and Douglas.

Again, I would say that with the deals which have been struck, the outgoings will of course outweigh last seasons wage packet, but not by a huge amount more as the squad is much smaller.

We also have to take into account our two loanees Harrison and Brown.

Let's also remember that we have lost Saiz and Viera.

Is tonight's game a must win?

Daily Mail piece is bull according to Rads response via twitter. The Scum newspaper also digging at Bielsa leaving. All designed to destabilise the team during our promotion push. ALAW. MOT.

    Morning all :emoticon-0148-yes:

Firstly on the Radz story this is just sheer speculation but there is a bit of truth in there, but none of us can know what plans Radz has put in place. I refer you to stuff he said about his timetable for promotion, which is next season as play offs were last seasons target. The 49ers contract has a clause that makes Radz sell them more shares if we dont go up this season. Those 2 things alone point to Radz selling the club to a richer benefactor, especially now he's doubled the value of the club. My worry is that he had no plan B and we failed to go up and we lost Bielsa and we sold our best players which in turn sends us back to mid-table Championship footy again. I believe he has plans in place and this is why:

Yesterday a respected firm of sports accountants published their first batch of numbers on the football clubs commercial activities. When our accounts are published its estimated that we will be gobsmacked with the results. But commercial activity for Wolves was £7m, Derby & Bristol City £12m, Norwich & Villa £13m Leeds Utd £16m. That now demonstrates what Radz is doing. Something that slipped out unnoticed last week in comments by Kinnear and again by Radz, we are going to develop ER to a 57,000 capacity.I may be wrong but I reckon there's money waiting to develop this club?

Great to see Oyston finally kicked out of Blackpool but the EFL did nothing about it even though they knew he had raped that club for years as well as raping kids.

Ryan Edmondson took most of the plaudits for his performance last night on top of his match winning performance last week. Edmondson will deffo get back into the first team squad. Bogusutz again looked brilliant and again set up a goal. Lots of good performances but hugo Diaz now seems to have created so much time for himself its like hes in slow motion when everything around him is 100 mph. he will make it into the top flight. Stevens and you left WB Clarke Oduah is fast and really skillful.

Well, I seem to have joined the breakfast debate for the 26th March, admittedly I don’t know if that’s 2018 or 2019. Cheers

    Morning Matt and all.

I thought he had said he had a plan to sell if we went up or after 5 years, which ever came sooner, lots of business men have found out, that running a football club is like no other business, the out goings are phenomenal, gate receipts only scratch the surface of running costs. If the story is true , perhaps Radz underestimated the amount of revenue he could generate other than from those gate receipts, business costs are 52 weeks of the year, with receipts only being for 23, plus any cup games.
We reallly need to win this I think, if we are to go up automatically, there's much tougher games to come.

Morning all. Deep down, a lot of fans know Radz limitations. Doesnt mean he wont be extremely lucky and get us promoted but really think this is a once off shot for him. I dont expect him to be long term but hope he can find a suitable successor to take the project to the next level if or when he decides to go. When we start talking of the 200m promotion is worth, its worth remembering the Chelsea keeper for example is on 10m per year wages. If Radz cant afford us in the Championship, he certainly wont be able for the next stage regardless of the sky money as we will be starting from a very low base. We dont want to be another Huddersfield, Bolton etc

    Morning all...

I don’t believe the red tops, the only area where we might be stretched is coaching and scouts, apart from that our player wages must be amongst the bottom half of the division whilst attendance is second only to Villa.

We also get £100k for every home game Sky screen and our attendance hasn’t suffered for it. Saiz has a fee agreed ready and we sold Vieira to balance things out, I think all is good cash wise

I haven’t read the article. It’s the daily mail. The worst newspaper in the country. They peddle tripe under the guise of a respectability, at least the rags don’t claim any moral ground.

Now, with respect to club finances. I heard back in the autumn that purse strings were very tight. Not long after various 11 sports disasters started to come out. In an article in the summer, radz said that Leeds and 11 sports we’re separate projects for him, but that obviously the success on one would impact on the investment available for the other.

To me its pretty clear why Roofe and klich haven’t been offered extensions and why January was what January was. There is either an inability or reluctance to commit to spend.

In January, People point out that we were ready to offer 5 million for James and that we got shafted by Swansea... we did get shafted... but the point missed was that we ended up in a position to get shafted because of our strategy for the window... which was:
    - get a keeper without paying a fee first... then when that’s wrapped up, see what we can get with whatever we have left in the piggy bank. If we had a semi-respectable budget, we would have our targets lined up before January and gone after them concurrently and independently... not consecutively and dependently.

If you’re chasing a big prize and you have any funds available to help secure it, then any entrepreneurial businessman...which he is.. would invest. He didn’t.

This isn’t a radz bashing... if he hasn’t got the money he hasn’t got it... and seems pretty obvious to me that he doesn’t have it at the moment.

Good to see Radz lay into the DM journo.

I wish Leeds had done the same to Derby who claimed the Leeds spy had

    i) Broken into their training ground

    ii) Hiding in the undergrowth

    iii) Arrested

    iv) secateurs on him

Derby could have been professionally slated!!!

Not disagreeing with you mate but there is a difference between making enough to keep the ship respectfully floating, having enough to move us to the next level and having to sell the club as your financial model is not sustainable (which the paper is reporting according to the op).

I don’t think we should confuse not enough money to spend big in January with Rads is going to be broke and needs to sell.

I believe Rads is making enough to keep us sailing at this level, the question is will that be enough this season. Remember he also saved the rent by purchasing the ground back.

If he’d splashed out £12m in January then I might believe the paper, as he didn’t then I’d say we’re okay. I’d love Rads to have enough to spend more but our last three proper signings, Kiko, Douglas, Bamford shows we’ve come a long way under Rads

Picking up on something Doc said in regards to increasing ground capacity, Angus Kinnear; at Arsenal and involved in the infrastructure regarding the Emirates stadium then at West Ham and responsible for overseeing the move to the Olympic Park.

Kinnear then joins Leeds and we buy the ground back, don’t be surprised if something else is in the pipeline.

In regards to Roofe and Klich I don’t mind, let’s see what division we’re in next season. If we’re still here in the Championship offer them both new contracts. I’m sure Klich will stay, Roofe might not but we have Bamford and a host of U23s ready to step up.

If we get promoted we’ll need better than Roofe anyway so let’s see if he will be needed or not.

    This^^^^^^^^^^

No idea about the content of the journo's piece about you lot, but it's the same rag that cobbled together the specualtive **** posted on here about Cardiff recently.

If they don't know anything, they'll make up a scenario to sell their wares that possibly could hold water but seldom does. <ok>
