He's screwed for at least 3 weeks.

the "we don't know stuff" = its swollen like ****. we won't know til probably some interview klopp does around this game.

You can take it that he is 100% out of both games this week (IMO.)

yeah but they are still 7th and still accumulated 40 points and have a pretty good away record.

Therefore its not got home win written all over it at all.

12/1 are long odds but if you had someone doing proper match threads <whistle> you'd know LFc have been 1/2 or 1/4 for almost every game anyway.

Theres no much moeny to be made betting on LFC unless its a sure thing. Right now i wouldn't put a penny on us as the result is not predictable like it had been.

By this i mean: there was a time you could just bet each round in tennis on nadal and federer and djokovic and make a mint even though the odds were very short. Just stop at SF stage. There was a time prechristmas you could put your house on LFC v watford as a home win. not now.

Clearly the betting public (I'm not one of them) doesn't agree with you - hence the long odds.
On a side note, as this discussion started with Paul Merson's opinion of the odds - I might ask how much money did Merson make from his gambling? <whistle>

Klopp: We're in a good position - now let's use it

Jürgen Klopp wants Liverpool to capitalise on their return to the top of the Premier League table after Sunday's goalless draw at Manchester United.
The Reds were unable to turn their dominance of the ball at Old Trafford into a mark on the scoresheet but nevertheless leapfrogged Manchester City with 11 games still to play this term.
    English Premier League
Pos Team P W D L GF GA GD Pts
    1 Liverpool 27 20 6 1 59 15 44 66
    2 Manchester City 27 21 2 4 74 20 54 65
    3 Tottenham Hotspur 27 20 0 7 55 27 28 60
    4 Arsenal 27 16 5 6 55 37 18 53
The next challenge awaits on Wednesday night at Anfield, when Watford visit L4 fresh from a 5-1 win at Cardiff City, and Klopp called on his players to use their position as leaders for motivation.
Asked if the point gained at Old Trafford could be valuable, the manager told Liverpoolfc.com post-match: “Absolutely. That’s completely OK.
“Just, I don’t want to close my eyes to the situation, because if United are beatable on the day, you have to do it – and we didn’t. So that’s still [in my thoughts] somewhere.
“But of course I’m fine with the point. Let’s carry on. There was so much talk about the game again, like Bayern – world-class teams. Now we didn’t score twice against world-class teams, that happened to a lot of other teams as well.
“The situation is like it is. In the table we are in a very good position and now we have to make sure we use that on the pitch.”
He added: “It was a difficult game. I still think we should have done better, 100 per cent. We will work on that. We don’t have a lot of time [to prepare] for the Watford game but we play at home and hopefully our people will help us.”

Obviously, most people would think we're more likely to win that Watford, and we are. However, with that said it's far from a foregone conclusion. Watford can be a very decent team and could win if we don't approach this right.

Its all about respecting the opponent. Bring the a game not just turn up and think its won.

for fans this really means not sit about thinking this is easy, not singing AND THEN GETTING ON THE TEAMS BACK IF WE ARE NOT 2-0 UP AFTER 10MINS.

This match has to be a banker win. Otherwise we might as well kiss goodbye to the title which we had in our grasp.

3-0 Win. Once the floodgates open after the first goal.

You're correct, but this discussion started with the statement that the odds on a Watford win are too long.
My point is that the odds reflect the betting, and not too many people are betting on them to win. It doesn't mean they think it's a foregone conclusion, just that if you're going to put money on it most will go for the home win here.
