Look in the trophy cabinet Adam. That'll give you a clue. Someone earlier likened you to............... Aston Villa Oh, I must'nt...it hurts!!
Oh Fran. Will you ever see a plus 50,000 crowd or a league title at your home ground ?? Thought not. Anyway, most Islanders follow the Royal Blue. What happened to you?
Traitor. That's a real rareity. Like a West German jumping over the wall to the East. There are places for people like you- and you seem to have ended up in one of them! Newport IOW UGH!!
How many years ago was this league title......let me see over 60 years ago.......and for the crowd of 50,000 oh yes that was 60 years ago too......So how many loyal fans turned up recently, 12000 was it for a league game, so much for your hefty trophy cabinet. I think I would rather support a team that at least tries to keep some sort of standard, rather than a team that has become the laughing stock of the country if not the world. How many times is it you guys have gone broke since those heady days....4 is it and you are proud of that? Suggest you take a wonder back to your own board and try and spoil some of your own threads. Rather than come on here to spoil some of ours.
Lol wow a couple of trophies that you won before my nanna was born,i believe huddersfield have won more titles than you,do you regard them as bigger than you?
Great post and so true! i think he forgets that we probably get over ten more thousand fans in than pompey do yet they're bigger because they won a couple of cups that only god knows when.
Saints have high expectations ever since Markus bought us because we are achieving our targets. Should have been in play-offs first year, but 10 points was too much to overcome, but we had a great day at Wembley. We were promoted in second year and have had great start this year. Our expectations have increased because of that start. Preseason we would have thought 2 wins and a draw from first five games was good. If we are in contention but don't make it this year, I think the fans will be disappointed but won't be calling for any heads to roll.
However hard you try, you cannot erase history. ..and yes, Hudderfield are a big club...because of honours won and their history. You just don't like it do you.
You are right .......you cannot erase history.........and history will remember the small club that was the laughing stock of the country. That tried to buy it's way into the big time but couldn't do it because it couldn't get the support of it's fans....... You just don't like it do you?
I don't mind to be honest,i just think you gotta start thinking more of the here and now, does anyone regard pompey or huddersfield as big clubs that are going places? probably not,but southampton have a rosy future which perhaps you cannot handle.
Frattonfunkdaddy, our star is on the rise and yours has fizzled, burnt out and plopped into a muddy puddle...
