"I can't comment on that, because I was on the other side of the pitch."

Nice job there Cesar, supporting your manager...

Chris Sutton saying Kepa should be sacked. Yeah Chris, Chelsea are going to sack the world's most expensive keeper aren't they? Muppet. He should be heavily fined by the club though and dropped.

And with a transfer ban meaning that they couldn't replace him.

Not really sure why Sarri was trying to sub him but a shambles when he did

    It was shocking though.

You don’t refuse your manager at u10’s, let alone in a cup final <laugh>

Such a shame Chelsea lost. :1980_boogie_down:

Sarri now saying a misunderstanding....says he thought the player was injured, but in fact he was ok to continue. Damage limitation going on.

I just don’t think he liked the way Sarri was bringing him off.

I thought he was just wasting time, guess the physio should be able to communicate that back to the bench though

I actually thought it was a penalty. He made a meal of it but the defender took an almighty swing with his boot and looked as though he made contact with the Madrid player’s shin pad. More a glancing blow than a firm contact, but a firm contact, given the wild kick, could have been really damaging.

Any refs on here know why the ref did nothing with respect to the keeper in the final? Does he have no right to step in ?

I suspect there are no rules about it because no one expects it to happen.

Probably. Referees are quite prepared to tell players being subbed to hurry up when walking off but say nothing if the player refuses to move at all!

Could the referee have sent him off, like the lovely Newcastle Bowyer v Dyer fight? Bringing the game into disrepute and time wasting!

    FA Vase quarter final result

    Canterbury City 2 Biggleswade 1

    Not very glamorous
    Bumpy pitch
    Some hoofball
    Standing on decking, no seats
    No wealth
    No grand production
    No VAR
No player refusing to be subbed

Just a good honest cup tie.

Canterbury have no ground of their own. For years local councillors haven't agreed on a location within Canterbury and residents don't want a ground near their precious houses.

A semi final away from a Wembley final. Cray Valley awaits (shame about Sholing)

Well done lads, keep defying the odds.
