May bugs are seriously horrible things, though fortunately, I've never seen this many at once..

I've never heard of May-bugs and (thankfully) I don't think I've ever seen one

They're actually called Cockchafer Beetles, which is a bit concerning. <yikes> They are nicknamed May-Bugs, as they only come out in May.

I get quite a lot of them flying into the lights outside my house, one got in the bathroom this summer, they make a hell of row and fly into everying. I couldn't get out, I had drown the bastard in he bath.

They sound lovely!!! I'm not surprised they've got a nickname. You wouldn't want to be heard talking about the cockchafer you suffered in the bathroom

I'd never seen a may bug until this year when my cats brought about 5 home and started eating them. I thought it was a cockroach at first

Vespa is the Italian word for wasp and the scooter got it's name from the whining noise the engine made.

Fortunately, nobody thought to call a Lambretta a Bop-bop-bop...

I had to post this somewhere. I took this in our shed, the biggest Spider I have ever seen in the UK, definitely the nastiest looking one. I don't even know what to do with it, scares the **** out of me. I think thats its nest and eggs next to it? I just took a video, might uplaod it to youtube, yes that's how bored I am at the moment.

I was on the train once from sevenoaks and me and my girlfriend at the time got bitten by a unidentified tropical insect, i was in and out of hospital for weeks. Doctor reckoned someone had brought something back with them from holiday, still got 4 scars on my leg from it. It was on the local news as a few other people ended up getting bitten as well (busy main commuter line). Scary. My pet hate though are flying ants!

One of my cats caught a ****ing wood pigeon not long back and managed to jump over an 8 foot wall with it in his mouth! He's a killing machine! Mice and birds all the time. Not had a bat yet but he did try taking on a hedgehog, needless to say, he came off worse!
