I just think that I've seen virtually nothing from him to give me any kind of optimism that he'll come good in the end, even the basic stuff like heading and holding the ball up seems to elude him. I've been looking for it but I haven't seen it. The season is getting on and I really don't think he'd be any use in the championship so if he's not going to do anything useful any time soon I'm struggling to see what point there is to playing him.
And I couldn’t really argue, we haven’t. Point is though, we should try and move with the club. The place is positive, let’s go with it. Sadly over the last few years we’ve become renowned for booing, scapegoating and leaving early. It’s not happening so much now, and look at the difference. We go behind, we don’t lose. We just gotta keep pushing and supporting, I can just see it creeping in with Wyke, and I don’t think it’s fair on the lad.
Yeah absolutely it doesn't do any good to slag off our players publicly, I don't see any long term future for Wyke at Sunderland but he'll need our full support if he's going to do anything to help the promotion push. I've never booed a player of ours in my life and not about to start now. On here though I see it as a place to speak your mind and if you think someone is **** or going through a **** patch it's pointless to pretend it's not happening.
Oh aye, he was bought to help us out of this league and it’s unlikely he’ll be hear next season. When dickheads on Twitter are tagging the players so it’s direct to them, that’s bullshit. Bet they’d say it to his face, looks like he could swing one the lad.
Can't stand that ****, it's one thing having a whinge it's another trying to directly tell the players you think they're crap. Genuinely don't know what goes through people's minds when they do that stuff if they consider themselves real fans. How is it going to help FFS.
Right back to the match just thought yesterday was quite relaxing following the game, didn't seem to need McLaughlins usual heroics, the second goal gave us that cushion we've been screaming for during many of our recent 1-1 draws and in the end we didn't need the near misses we created in the last ten minutes or so. pity Will Grigg couldn't get a goal but was his knock back to O9 a clever pass or a misdirected shot, I prefer to think the former he put it back into the mix for anyone to get a touch and thankfully it was Luke. Speaking of 09 how lucky are we having this kid, he's everything we've missed in signings in the last couple of years with his opptimism, passion and graft, he must be a managers dream and well done whoever in the club identified him as a target. Overall we seem back on track, scoring more than one goal and a few days off for the team to recharge the batteries before we pummel (hopefully) Plymouth and reach a Wembley final. It's certainly it not boring this season KTF.
Just noticed the Luton match is on Sky, was watching Hamburg game. Gonna watch second half see what these ****ers are doing so right.
Trying to work why Grigg didn't shoot. Don't buy for a second he picked out the O'Nien run through five bunched up Brist ol players. Unless he tried to place it in and messed it up. Strange goal but not believing he has the vision of Messi. Take it all day long just didn't look like the instinct of a stone cold goal machine. Sent from my Moto G (5) using Tapatalk
Well I thought there was a defender on the post in front of him stopping a direct shot at goal and he just put it into the mix where 09 did the rest. As Nads said who cares as long as it went in. Also watching Grigg he is a completely different player to young Maja who I'm in no doubt would have smashed that chance at goal regardless of his chances of scoring. Imo we're getting more team play from Will than we did from Josh and that's not an unfair criticism of a young player against the vastly more experienced one, it's just a fact.
I agree. He’s a smart player Grigg, his movement without the ball is far better than Maja. 8 in 3 games says a lot.
