"Looking forward to great night out at a top restaurant/nightclub before retiring to some 5 star hotel in the West End"?
Well the Bees stung us badly. One thing that kept us winning two months ago was a settled defence. Allams of course as usual did not buy or loan the two to three defenders that would have kept us going while the injured players recovered.
Bang on Driff. Have to feel for the great travelling support today, although their performance was better than the team's. Nige got that so wrong today, defence rank, midfield non existent. Our great run came to an end when injuries hit our defence, and change forced upon Nige, but now as they come back we should revert back. Burke should have started, Ridgewell not good enough despite his experience, Lichaj very unlucky to be on bench after having a few good games. Midfield - how things have changed, never thought I'd be saying we are desperate for Stewart to be back in and get a foot in and closing the space down. It all started so well, but as soon as we went behind it reminded us of earlier in season, lost for a response. All in all, shambolic performance, the travelling support deserved better. Safe journey back to all.
That little mini run we went on looks like being a season saver. We're clearly not good enough, look resigned to losing our best players at the end of the season and face a total rebuild and uncertain future....Like I say,we need to take some comfort out of that run, without it we'd be in big trouble!!!
You know when the Boy Blunder and Papa said they were going to support the manager and team for a promotion push, I didn't realise that meant just going to the odd game (especially one in London) and showing up for a photo opportunity when the Beeb were at the training ground. What could I have been thinking... !!!!!!!!!!
I’m not liking Irvine at the moment. He’s awful. Kingsley is as bad. If Burke was fit he should of played. Nige is been too cute with his selection.
I thought Kingsley might have turned the corner, seemingly it's the wrong corner... even Henricksen in his Burnsie interview said we got bum bent three times down the right.... Irvine thinks he's much better than he actually is. Actually he thinks he's world class...
Brentford (a) Scapegoat of the Match Top three in order, only if you saw the game, you know the drill.
I suppose it was only a matter of time before teams realised how to deal with Bowen and Grosicki, as well as they have done. Nige needs a plan B. Keane was no world beater but he looked lost whilst here, I'm sure we are missing about 8 or 9 goals plus team play he could have chipped in if things had gone differently and I reckon Dicko will score a ton of goals when he leaves too. Martin hasn't been sensational either. As much as people love Nigel you have to question the coaching
