Teams like Fulham and Cardiff, both fighting for their lives, both had decisions go against them last night that would have changed the games ... both would have been corrected by VAR ...

 

And the point I'm making, which seems completely goes over your head, is that even with the technology it will still come down to a subjective decision by a human.
Goal line technology works because it's binary. From its introduction to date, VAR doesn't. Even all those who have the benefit of the multi camera angles and the ability to watch in slow motion often can't agree, why would a guy who is now under some time pressure suddenly get everything right?
IMO opinion, other than stopping a few real howlers, very little will change. Mistakes will still happen, but with the added inconvenience of a stop / start game.

 

Not an issue for me......most of my life watching Cardiff has been lower leagues....not the end of the world......but don’t turn into Sutton and write us off just yet or you may get some egg on your face just like he has already.......we wouldn’t get ten points he said lol he gets paid for being a pundit yet obviously knows jack sh,it excuse the pun

 

... and the point that I'm making which seems to go completely over yours is that VAR is 'evolution' it is improvement ... it will reduce the number of incorrect decisions ... like the Henandez hand ball goal and the Murphy penalty decision yesterday ... so all good

I appreciate disagreeing with you will probably provoke some endless vendetta but I’ll try anyway.

It takes far too long to make the call. If a call is obviously wrong like Lampard against Germany it’ll be quick to fix. If it needs more time, it’s marginal enough to trust the referee and accept they will make mistakes on such calls. If you’re pro-VAR in its current form, what sort of time do you think is acceptable to come to a decision? At the moment we are regularly seeing 2 minutes and often longer. Is 5 fine for you? 10?

 

VAR will eventually be used for minor decisions and games will last well over 2 hours. It's ****e.

 

Leicester will lose a match due to a wrongly awarded throw-in and Foss will crash the server.
