Watching old duffers trying to do Floyd is a **** night out in my opinion. I don’t mind a pub band and I like the Floyd but the combination is so cliche that it’s dull.
Novelty value would be high hearing Daz the Spaz singing Comfortably Numb as he sounds like Noddy Holder on helium.
No one else does Floyd on the semi-pro circuit. We get booked by the best clubs off the back of our reputation for covering Floyd.
If you're talking to Skiddy, that's not his real name. I've already revealed his real first name and surname. I have a lot more information about him, too. Not just him, but others. brb won't let me use it, though. Of course, if posters, such as CFC and Stan, give me their permission, that would be a different matter.
No one else does Floyd because it's music for people who don't like music. Well done for cornering the market in gigs for the deaf though.
HiaG's probably been drinking, he usually starts rambling around this time on a Friday night. I expect the blue rinse brigade have fed him too many sherries.
That is where you are very wrong. The fact that we continue to be booked by the same venues, year in and year out, over the past 7 years is ample evidence of the popularity of the music we perform. Pink Floyd is thinking man's music. I can thoroughly understand why it would not interest you.
I like Floyd. My brother plays Floyd very well. He got me into them and Wish You Were Here is one of the greats.
