nige knows the team and who's fit. We don't.
    Should be a good un.
Lot going down for this one and a special 50th birthday party bus...

Goals goals goals in this one.

    City in a 3-4 thriller.

Looks as if both Stewart and Batty are out, so they are a big loss in midfield. Henriksen and Irvine again, which does not give us the same bite as when Stewart or Batty are playing.

They seem to be a good form, I would take a draw now.

Stewart didn't train yesterday, but he's still expected to make tomorrow's squad.

I think they'll do us, they just look all round a better drilled side than we do. They've got a proper 20 goal a season striker too. I'm going 2-1 to them.

Our bubble burst a while ago.

Other than scampering into a two none lead on a couple of occasions, then being pegged back, we’re back to couldn’t score in a brothel mode and the defence like a leaky sieve motif of early season.

We’ve got less chance of getting something out of this than a three legged antelope, who’s just made the mistake of calling a lion’s sister a scabby pussy, flicking the lion the Vs, saying that it couldn’t catch a ****ing cold, then calling it gay and in a mocking voice saying ‘I’m a shirt-lifting feline bumder who bums gazelles’ before turning and seeing that it’s antelopian so called mates have ****ed off in their adapted 4 by 4 and left him to limp home across twenty miles of Serengeti.

Unless we manage to scamper into a two nil lead obviously.

    In which case we’ll draw.

It's now been confirmed as pay on the gate if anyone fancies a last minute jolly.

Really hoping Stewart is fit (wouldn't have been saying that 4 months ago) as if we have to rely on Marcus and Jackson to tackle I fear for us.

    Where’s anyone drinking beforehand?

I’m only round the corner so will saunter down for a quiet beer...and then some noisy ones!

Good job you're on the terraces, I remember when quite a few of the seats collapsed, and then you had to go in their end for a burger / hot dog. I'm sure the two events were not connected

The first drawing of the moon made with a telescope, and the first telescopic observations of sunspots, were made at Syon House in Brentford. Presumably everyone else used crayons.

The floodlights at Brentford Football Club were donated by Chelsea Football Club.

Brentford were formed in 1889 at the Oxford and Cambridge Hotel public house, there was a vote held by members of the Brentford rowing club. They needed something to do during the winter months and had to pick between football and rugby union, and football narrowly won by 8 votes to 5.

In 1967 QPR tried to buy Brentford out and move into Griffin Park but 38 days of demonstrations and protests which attracted national press led to the sale collapsing.

Brentford were runners up to Reading in the London War Cup in 1941, but beat Portsmouth to lift the Trophy in 1942.

Memories of FA Cup 5th Round v Brentford in 1970/71. They scored first and hung on to their lead for most of the match as I remember and looked as though they were going to cause an upset before two late goals saw us through.

Evening Prof. I didn't know you were at that game. I'd have given you a wave. They had a real poser playing number nine. Roger Cross. Long dark hair. White boots. Only Alan Ball wore white boots in those days but he had the class to get away with it. They were leading for quite a while and it looked like we were going out. It was one of those, 'We should be beating this lot' situations. Brentford played really well that day. We managed to scrap and scrape through. Chilton and Houghton scored our goals.

Terry Cooper also wore white boots. I always thought he was the first to wear them.

To round off a good day all round I scored as well that night.

That Maupay really is a class looking striker when I've seen him, vicious with it. They might just have too much for us, but who knows, 'Nige's' tremendous Together Everybody Achieves More might be the key factor again, along with proper breakfasts and warm ups. I noticed Keane is in line for a Republic of Ireland call up, a shame Nige couldn't figure out how to play to his strengths as tomorrow might have been a good match for him on his Ipswich form now that Lambert is coaching him properly

We've still got an outside chance of making the playoffs which is pretty incredible really considering how we started the season
