    This was inevitable really.

But providing he stays in the team and plays as well as he has been we'll be safe and will get good money for him which will add to our 35 million?

i think we'd be very lucky if we got that much, i'm thinking between 10-15 million, we'll just have to see i guess.

he might not want to leave...

yep, that's how i interpret it too. he's another player who's going to be very hard to replace for less than 20 million. don't get me wrong, it's only half a season in the prem for tiote but he's our stand out player so far, possibly more crucial than barton and carroll (<grr>).

on a more positive note, ashley was said to have rebuffed the 30 and 35 million offer for carroll, maybe just pr but dirty 'arry did confirm that he had a decent bid rejected so i think we're likely to keep our best players unless stupid money is offered (carroll again!) in which case, who can blame him... AS LONG AS WE GET A REPLACEMENT!!!

You need to ask yourself this.. how much is he worth to out team?

He protects our defence, this hasnt happened for years, a good defensive midfielder cab be the difference between survival and relegation.. how much does relegation cost a club? If you know that number, then that's how much cheick is worth.

    I love the dude!

Remember, cheick tiote isn't black, its just the sun is too scared to shine on his face!

Can't stt that happening. Doubt Everton would do business considering the Gosling deal, plus we're competing for the same places in the table.

Jack Rodwell attacking midfielder & Tiote Defensive midfielder different postions so Rodwell wouldn't replace Tiote and to be honest nobody in world football can replace Tiote he is vital

This club is a joke. The laughing stock of the Premier League, and we have been for years. Until Ashley is gone we have no hope!

Hardly call us the laughing stock, we're laughing all the way to the bank with 35 million more like!

Alright so lacking in the strikers department but have a very good midfield to compensate.

I have mentioned this before but if Ashley has told Pardew this is how it will be then it is good he has told us. If Mike Ashley is going to sell our best players then it is better saying it will happen rather than not keeping promises that the key players would stay. Pardew said Carroll would stay here ever since he arrived but then was hung out to dry by Mike Ashley. It might not be good to hear but you know where you stand and then you decide if you want continue paying your hard earned money to watch Ashley **** things up.

Rodwell is a CB, DM or CM. Predominantly a DM.

see this is the problem with clubs/bids etc...

fifa need to add a rule to a players contract, that when a player signs for a club/or a new contract (take the carroll situation)a club cant come in and submit bids/and the club cant sell them for a certain length of time.

say if a player has a 5 year contract he has to be at the club for atleast 2 years, along with it the transfer reqeust needs to be re-written also to amke this rule happen...

yes sounds ******ed, but smaller clubs like southampton/everton/newcastle etc who have lost players like wallcott, carroll, rooney, and could lose players like adam.chamberlain as these bigger clubs see them play well for 6 months and buy them.

Guttering but Tiote was always gunna move on to a bigger club, we knew this after the first game he played for us, the same has been said about Ben Arfa...

It's properly annoying but there's very little we can do about it yet, Pardew is right! The fact is, we need to bring in 3/4 players in the summer at least, one of these has to be a star youngster. Even if we have to spend £20m on them, I'd do it...I know Neymar and Lukaku are beyond us, but someone of that ilk! I genuinely think it's imperative!!!

Enrique won't sign a new contract until we're safe (or so it says on twitter) so I can only hope we do it sooner rather than later and get him on a long term deal. At least that way if we DO sell (rightly or wrongly) it can be far more money!
