Hopefully Arsenal play a strong team and pick up a knock or two tonight.

Extra time wouldn't go amiss either.

If they can’t beat this assortment of postmen and serial killers then Emery wants sacking.

At his age, and assuming he’s in fair shape, stamina shouldn’t be a problem. Protein overload helps prevent the let downs.

I was in the gym when I posted that. Love the gym but natural stamina isn’t great. It’s better than it would be if I did nothing.

VAR looks like it was doing a great job again last night with loads or arguments over decisions, Pep saying he likes it which is easy to do when you win.

    Arguments over decisions, surely not?

Var was brought in to solve everything so we'd be discussing the football instead of decisions. You must be mistaken mate.

  11. VAR is great.

    How it’s implemented isn’t.

The broken monitor thing is funny as **** and taking 4 mins to make a decision lol. It's **** and I'm sick of hearing how it will get better, how long has it been around now? 2 years?

  14. Anything that helps the ref to make the correct decision is a good thing.

It’s simply that the system is in its early stages and there remain problems to iron out.

Best get used to it, because the system is coming in whether or not Luddites like it.

If it took half an hour to get a decision out of it it would still be helping the ref but wouldn’t be a good thing.

It must destroy the buzz of scoring a goal for the matchgoing fan, who has no idea what is being reviewed. It’s fine for you telly clappers ****ing into your Doritos but for actual fans at the game it’s nonsense.

If it absolutely has to happen, there needs to be a 30 second time limit. If they can’t overturn it before then you stick with the on-field decision.

A lot of this must surely be to do with implementation and the fact that it’s new technology in football.

I cannot see how it could possibly take any competent set of officials 4 minutes to arrive at what was a clear penalty decision.

In Rugby, which has had the technology for years, it’s different. Trying to see if a ball has been grounded by a player at the bottom of a ruck can necessitate looking at it from several different angles to try and see a clear grounding of the ball. In football I can’t think of anything that should take that long.

What should happen is that the powers that be should recognise that Hawkeye for goal line technology is superb and has seamlessly been added to the game, so lets develop that and maybe add it to offsides and if a pen is in or out of the box. VAR has given us nothing but problems and should be binned.

I can understand why a LFC fan wouldn't want VAR, how many yellow card will you get instead opf penalties? At the end of the day if it wasn't for players like Salah and Stevie Me trying to cheat every 5 seconds, there would've been no need for VAR.
