My husband was there with his girlfriend - he is a massive Buddy Holly fan. Only a couple of weeks ago we went to a replica group show featuring both BH and the Everly Bros.
My boss at work in Hull went. Said he couldn't believe just 3 people could produce such a sound. There was a documentary about Buddy Holly on the other night. Jerry allison was saying on it what a great bloke they thought Des O'Connor was. O''Connor said Buddy wanted an acoustic guitar to practise on use whilst song writing and O'Connor took him to a guitar shop where Buddy was very picky, playing numerous guitars before deciding one was right. He gave O'Connor the guitar at the end of the tour.
