The most annoying aspect of the commentary last night was the repeated use of the phrase "textbook" when describing Utd's defending. They basically hoofed it out of defence for Rashford to chase and had a lot of last minute blocks when Chelsea created chances, the latter being few and far between. Bet the sods still beat us on Sunday, a game I will miss as I am attending my Granddaughter's 4th birthday party. On the upside there will be bouncy castles and cake

I did see matic's foul live but this morning on replay i can see why klopp was so angry last game at friend.

total non decision by friend when matic did a clear deliberate foul that would have been yellow in another circumstance..

I don't think we can win both (I don't think we will win either tbh, but that's besides the point).

My concern is we're picking up injuries to key players and we don't have depth to handle it.

Fewer games to limp through to the finish line might be a silver lining should we lose.

Naturally, I want to win, and go as far as we can in this competition but, I won't be too sad if we get kicked out. I want to see us lift the league title at least one more time before I die and this may be the best chance we get.

 

Where's all the pessimism suddenly come from?

 

Mate we're top of the league and in the CL knockouts I'm loving life, great season so far hopefully it'll be a great one.

 

I know you're not pessimistic. It could be very ****ing messy on Sunday, though

Reality City has more depth and favourites to win league... But we still have a great chance to win league.

Next year will be much harder. We're probably punching a little above our weight at the moment. City will be just as strong next year. United will be much better. Spurs will be older and have a transfer season. I don't expect Chelsea to stand still and not improve.

We might win the league this season, we almost certainly won't win in next year.

Anything beyond that is unpredictable. Unless we suddenly have City or United spending power, the longer removed we are from this great team, the lower our chances probably get.

To me, this is probably our best chance in the near future... We have to try all out to win the league... Or we may not for a long time.

everyone seems to get stronger and better, but assume we wont as well and this is our best chance etc.
