Not overly fond of wasps, but cardboard cartons can't sting.

I have a massive fear of Snakes. I saw our tour leader in Kenya get bitten by one, and eventually die from a snake bite. And ever since, ive had a huge fear of them. Even grass snakes aswell.

Scared of spiders/daddy log legs, they are all hideous and I scream like a girl (I am a girl) when one appears.

I too was stung by a jellyfish once (absolute agony) at Virginia Beach in the USA - hasn't made me scared of water, but would never go in water where I can't see more than a few metres. That same holiday we watched the dolphins playing further out and someone said to me - 'look at the fins, they are not all dolphins you know'. At the time we sort of nervously laughed and ignored it, but a few days after I got back home some poor guy was attacked by a shark.

As for my final fear - beards, I can't stand them. They terrify me. Once one of my friends stupidly told this group we were chatting too so this guy came up to me and tried to press his beard against my cheek to 'check' it was true. They all p*ssed themselves laughing; I was practically in tears. I know it's irrational, but I can't help it - I think it's called Pognophobia.

    Excellent thread by the way!

Was it a big jellyfish? I'd say mine was about 7-8 inches judging by the mark that was left on my arm.

As for beards, I have never understood women who like a big bush of hair touching their face to be honest so I can see your point. And everyone else, no, I am not just saying that because I can't grow a beard...I had a shave yesterday <whistle>
