Brigadier Bob 7/1 4 00 WETHERBY kerry Lees horses are running well now , good winner Sunday, magic dancer ran to his best on sat , Richard Patrick who is an excellent claimer rides .
Fiendishly difficult question. 4 entries this Thurs - Sat and could be any of them. The De Boinville boy is down for Huntingdon on Thursday so you would have to, at this current moment, say that the most likely. I am though sill far from 100% certain that the 11th richest man in Wales will want to pit both Angels Breath and Al Dancer against each other in the festival commencer in 21 dyas time. Still think, if both are A OK, one might go elsewhere. Incidentally, all this about the ‘Fred Winter’. Didn’t I read recently they’ve dropped his name from the race title??? Very harsh if they have.
It sure is. On official ratings (weight adjusted in line with tomorrows imposts) Laurina only has 4 lbs in hand over both Good Thyne Tara and Stormy Ireland. I’d still expect her to win of the morrow, though, and then at Cheltenham 20 dyas later. Nice card at Punchestown, by the way, as a ‘Pertemps Qualifier’ follows Laurina’s heat.
Yep, should be a very informative card Ref Angels Breath and Al Dancer - Angels Breath won a 3 mile point so I would think he more likely the one to step up?
Is that the one that got a whopping ratings reduction this morn?!? If it is one from the Blake barn finished one place behind him on Saturday (£22k purchase which is quite a sum for one of their inmates).
Just one bet today for me. Have had a nibble at the skybet double. Got on at 66/1...now pushed out to 80/1.
wetherby,4 00: BRIGADIER BOB has so far only shown glimmers of ability, but it might be enough to win this modest race, where most have a lot to prove.especially his second lst run, where he was a staing on second, has worked out not too badly,so surely worth a small wager here..
Airton was having his first start for Pipe, he used to be with James Bethell. There wasn't a lot between him and Scaramanga on Flat ratings but Airton is much more exposed. Scaramanga ran close to a hurdler with a 136 rating last time but the Racing Post only awarded 120 to that horse and 116 to Scaramanga. The third horse today, Sofia's Rock had won a maiden hurdle but the RPR for that win was 107 and they gave the gelding a wind op after that win. Considering Sofia's Rock was giving Scaramanga 15 lbs today it's hard to justify much of a mark for Scaramanga. Montestrel was bloody awful today. Lizzie Kelly reported to the Steward that the horse "Ran Flat" which is no help to punters. When Montestrel beat Quel Destin, the RPR he earned was 124, while the Nicholls horse was rated 128 but the next time they met Montestrel was beaten favourite as Quel Destin ran to a 2 lbs higher figure on RPRs while he himself dropped 10 lbs on a rating of 114 for that effort. Today Montestrel hasn't even run to three figures and he's headed in the opposite direction to the Nicholls inmate. Quel Destin is a bit unusual in that his Official Rating has consistently sat a fair bit above his Racing Post best. Often it seems the other way round for horses. Originally given just 129 for the Victor Ludorum win where Torpillo ran like a drain, Quel Destin was later given a three pounds better mark for that race. It's well below the official mark of 148 he had at one stage and runner up Adjali made a poor effort of making the form look sound when pumped by Fakir D'Oudairies. Looks a very tricky division to trust this season.
I see Cyrname is now officially three pounds better than Altior after being rated 178. Mmm, I wonder if the possibilty is that Waiting Patiently and others have been rated a bit too high? John Hales was shouting the odds about Politologue being the new kid on the block before the King George but he couldn't live up to anything like that despite Might Bite flopping and two departing, Fox Norton is essentially a 2 miler and using him as a yardstick at 2M 5F isn't very scientific. Can't say I am convinced myself. Cyrname is not going to Cheltenham, so there's little point in the 4/1 NRNB for the Ryanair unless you like non-runners.
I think it’s a fair enough reason, it’s a shame the BHA haven’t publicised which horses have had them in last 14 days, would be interesting to see. That Kelly horse needs the season off now, that was too bad to be true and he certainly hasn’t gone on from that debut win.
