I’m not saying they weren’t doing their job properly. I was simply commenting that if they’d let her in, we wouldn’t have this far worse scenario we have at present of a missing person.

If her mates had stayed with her we wouldn't either.

We shouldn't blame her mates, they thought she was safe going home in a taxi. They certainly wouldn't have been long term friends, she was only a second year student wasn't she a long way from home and uni friendships can be transient. The only blame lies with the b***ard who has done something to her.

Making a point isn't being argumentative. There is more than one if only...in this tragic occurence, as there are in many others.

I wonder if the police have thought about attempting to drain that pond on Oak Road, though it may be too big. I used to visit Beresford Park now and again as a kid but never knew it was there.

There is another similar sized pond not too far from this one in the grounds of Croda. When I lived in the area there were always holes in the fence.
Some arseholes got in one day and killed a family of wild deer who were living in the area.

That's absolutely heinous. There's some sick ****ers in this world. What do people get out of doing such things?

I lived in that area in the 60/70s and never knew about those ponds unless they’ve been man made.

We all know the police have been searching daily but is there a possibility that she has being passed on and there is more than one person involved. It's just another thought, I am really praying for this girl.

Why didn’t she enter her digs on Wellesley Ave when the taxi dropped her outside her house?

Not in the public domain, but I heard that they found her house keys nearby, so she'd dropped them and too drunk to notice or find them again so went to sit at the bench at Haworth street.

Yeah, this is what I heard. She lost her keys, couldn't find them, and no doubt doubled back to the bench next to bus stop, atop of Haworth Street.

After seeing the CCTV clip on Look North, all I can imagine is that the police are really clutching at straws by releasing it - the clip could show four of the most notable people in the world and you'd never recognise them.

Perhaps its meant to jog the memories of those people and prompt them to go to the police .

It's exactly that, the police said so in their statement while acknowledging that other people wouldn't be able to identify them.
