Or have I been blocked from reading it because I don't feel sympathy for a hooligan?

Still on here, well for me anyway. I know they have a reputation, but having met some Cardiff fans at uni and at city games they're decent fans and a good laugh.

If you can't see it, it's because you've been banned from it.

I'm referring to the hooligan that was killed the other day. Seems they don't like the truth so they blocked me from seeing it :D

    James,

Unless you KNEW this poor man was a hooligan, you should keep your opinions to yourself. At the end of the day we are talking about someone's life

It's a deep subject, one that can't be covered in a few lines. It's truly sad people get killed through hooliganism. Cardiff City was this man's drug, cigarettes can kill you, alcohol can kill you and his own particular vice killed him.

What's sadder is that he wasn't a single man with no kids, the guy had responsibilities. But I'm sure he knew the risks.

    Will it stop people? No.

When do people cross the line from passionate supporter, diehard fan, ultra to become hooligans? I'm a fanatic but not a hooligan yet at the same time I believe it could be easy to get involved. It's more than football though, it's tribal and the fact that we love fighting. You can't deny the rush, the buzz. I think you can become addicted to it.

Agreed, i don't think any of us condone violence in football at all but like the report says the bloke was a father of 3 and seems to have been a good family man. A life has been lost and people are understandably upset, I don't know what you said James but even if the bloke was involved in hooliganism it seems insensitive to be bringing it up at a time like this. You need to learn to wind your neck in a bit.

I suspect James is yet another internet warrior.

No way would he stay this stuff he says on this board or the Cardiff one if he was face to face with another person. He only comes on here to try and make himself appear intellectually superior, in reality he makes himself look like a complete ******.

    Quite pathetic really.

I might be letting myself in for a bit of abuse here but does anyone else think that if a West Ham fan had been beaten to death by Millwall fans at the Millennium Stadium more would have been made of it ?
England would be looking at a ban from European football .

If this bloke had been a 'civilian ' out with his son and had been started on for nothing then it would be a real tragedy .

As it is this bloke was one of the Soul Crews top boys , he had caused trouble all over the place. From what I can gather he had been clocked by some Swansea hooligans and was attacked .

I'm not saying for one minute it's right but for everyone to start all this ' he was a great bloke ' nonsense doesn't wash with me.

I don't know what James has said to get him banned but sometimes the truth doesn't sit well .

I agree completely, truth hurts. However, sometimes it is a good idea to be a little more tactful or dare i say It, bite your tongue for a while.

Football is more of a family event now than it has ever been. Hooligans are a dying breed. The quicker they all disappear, the better.
