So you are comparing arshavin with adam? great apples and pears comparison!

Benayoun an impact sub? Well I suppose he did get one goal and one assist last season so that was a huge impact!

Fabianski and Djourou better than Doni and Skrtel???? How many caps do Fab and Djourou have again? How often have they been the preferred first team starters? Everything else on comparisons is OK other than Song= Adam, two different players in different positions, but those two really gave me a chuckle...

You are just clutching at straws now. I disagree with everything you've said above. You are Arsene arent you?

I think it's safe to say by a long shot that Man Utd have improved mostly and look the team to beat.

The annihilation of Arsenal was obviously not a reflection of how every game is going to go this season for Man Utd, but the 2nd half display against City at Wembley was what Man Utd are all about and nobody in the league, no matter what form they are in, can stop that kind of attacking play....absolutely ruthless.

Liverpool have gone and spent money on players that just shouldn't have been spent. Fair play the owner is backing Kenneth with funds but they paid at least £10m too much for the "Prospect", Henderson and there must have been better ways to spend £35m on a striker back in January. Overall, their squad looks better but their back 4 looks weak and teams with a bit of flair will walk through them.

Chelsea look absolutely desperate, their form of scraping results is going to fall apart soon, if not by the time they visit Old Trafford then certainly on that day.

City will challenge, because they still have Tevez, who will discover lethal form with his 2 buddies Aguero and Dzeko, but Mancini doesn't have the nuts to get them over the line when the going gets tough, as for winning the CL, not a hope in hell.

Arsenal...I have no idea, Mertesacker is one of the worst defenders I have ever watched, how Wenger is going to get that side firing is a mystery to me.

Spurs...Harry will quit after the next 5-7 games, from there they'll suffer.

It is for the Spurs/Arsenal reasons that I can see Liverpool finishing 4th.

    On a side note....

Man Utd could provide 7 of England's starting 11 for next summer's EC's. Smalling, Jones, Rio, Young, Rooney, Welbeck, Cleverley. If Capello has any nuts about him he will also do that and let Man Utd plus a few others (obviously bum boy Barry) win the first trophy for England in donkeys years. I'd probably exclude Rio for Cahill and the other players would be Wilshere, Cole, Hart and Downing. Everyone knows Gerrard and Fat Frank's days are more or less up in an international shirt, plus Wilshere looks better than the pair of them already, having been the only midfielder in the whole of 10/11 season to hold his own vs Barcelona.

I find it funny how everyone things they're more qualified at scouting than qualified scouts. "Comolli and Kenny have no idea what they're doing," says the unemployed waster on the street next to the job center in London.

Who is anyone to say these players are average, if you haven't played football in the premier league then you have no idea what it's like to play with these guys or against them, all you can do is go on stats and the opinions of those who have. Coincidentally both of these seem to run in the favour of these players, and all the managers and "people more qualified than you" have come out and said Kenny has done great business. I'm more likely to trust them than a random person on the street who's played 50 hours of football manager.

Given the situation who would you have signed? your best striker has left (remember, Torres had been formidable in the weeks leading up to transfer deadline day, you have hours left before the deadline passes (no chance of signing anyone from outside the UK) you have a set transfer policy (must be young and pref. english) and you have just been given £50m

Which young english strikers were about who were availible? We went to Newcastle as we knew for the right money they would sell and we signed (at the time) the top goal scorer in the league, yeah he was injured but the initial recovery time was propected to be quite quick.

So, what would you have done? Gone for a young english striker who has been in great form (for a mid table club) who can be brought and moulded in to your clubs style of player or what??

Terry_Hardacre Roberto has already won the Champions League while with Inter Milan as a Manager, so what makes you think that RM won't do it again with Man city. Maybe not this eason but I am sure that he will win it within the next 2to 3 seasons providing that the board allow him time to develope the overall strength of the squad.

Terry_Hardacre and what have England ever done when the team had at least 5 or more players from Utd in the past absolutely nothing. However believe this if he doses the same again then England will again win absolutely nothing.

So do you think people are not allowed an opinion unless they have played in the premier league. Footballs all about opinions if you like it or not.

Believe it or not alot of fans, particularly Liverpool fans slate Howard Webb when he refs United - are they not allowed an opinion as they haven't been a ref in the Premier League ?

Gary Neville and Paul Scholes have recently come out and said playing for England was something of a distraction. I reckon most of the United players of recent years who played for England had the same mentality.

It's one thing having an opinion and another insisting your opinion is the right one.

Like the opinion that United only win the league because the FA is corrupt?

A lot of managers, pundits and "people more qualified than us" said great things about Kleberson, Veron, Cheyrou, Diouf, Shevchenko, Kezman, Jeffers, Grimandi and many other players when they moved to the PL. Fact is, no manager, scout or DoF ever signs a player expecting them to be average, but so many players end up being average at best. So why shouldn't fans question the professionals and their judgement?
