I thought we brought him back too soon last season. I hope we don't make the same mistake this time round. We're far less predictable and it forces Pochettino to think about his tactics more. Even Llorente is picking up some form and confidence.

I don't think we should bring him back while we're winning like this. The others ARE freed up without him, the others step up. I've often advocated dropping him with a lot of negativity coming back but I've stuck to my guns. Kane stays out. Bring back Dele.

My 7 year old boy loves Son (thanks to FIFA 19).

    Who needs Kane?!

Joking aside, a fantastic 2nd half. Well done boys.

    Don't duck it up now!

**** me what a second half. Was not expecting that result. My cousin chose to drive tonight so no getting on trains while I’m bunged up, tops off a very decent night.

Cyril Knowles. There used to be a bakery in White Hart Lane called Wonderloaf and they had many tv ad campaigns. One was about the flour graders and the punch line of one ad was 'nice one Cyril' so of course every time our Cyril had the ball the crowd would chant that out. It soon turned into the 'musical' that you all know & love today. Wonderloaf closed in the early 1980's IIRC.

That second half performance was very special. Vertonghen MOTM and more than deserved his goal.

    Great second half performance.
    I wish we were 3-0 up :(
I thought Vertonghen played well as a left back v Newcastle. I seem to remember a game in 2012 at OT too.

Yeah we do. Son needs an understudy for when he's injured.

The way we nullified Sancho in that second half. First half we seemingly allowed him space and freedom to run. Second half we attacked more down the left and it meant he was left in limbo for the most part.

Buzzing for Llorente as well though, really proving his value of late.

Also enjoyed Foyth keeping Chelsea’s new £60m signing in his pocket all night.

Late starter like Sissoko. Tonight's result was never in doubt for me so let's keep this formation.

It's funny how the same pundits who spent the match rusty tromboning Sancho spent years trying to piss on Harry Kane's fire

Also, don't Google the trombone thing...

Foyth makes the odd mistake but his confidence is undimmed, he has a tremendous temperament.
