Stereophonics’ debut album was brilliant. @luvgonzo isn’t just about beige food, he can also tell you the story behind many of the songs. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLJNbijG2M7OzTi3wWNwGdGlBVBg5CAA3X
Don’t think you’re going to be a fan. On that album I love “Local Boy in a Photograph”. The second album was very good as well. After that it was hit and miss.
Have A Nice Day from a later album is one that a lot of people would recognise as it’s used for TV stuff. It’s ****.
Seriously it's very nice if you like that sort of thing, but there's about 100 bands that all sound like that.
I don't know from the outside but even knowing the band and what it's about if I put that to one side I like the song and the raw sound.
It’s well known for the wrong reasons. Some advertising guy thought it was catchy. The Bartender and the Thief gets a fair bit of radio time.
I'm completely biased so can't really say much. But I like story telling in songs and the first album is one big story.
