Does it bug anyone else that most of the pundits call firmino- firminiho and fabihno- fabihnio ? Or is it just me ?
Yes. The same pundits also call (when he features) Moreno, Mourinho. They are not even similar sounding.
Even if he’s valued at this price, that saves Juventus the initial outlay plus tax plus agents fees and player signing fee etc. The extra payment is done on a monthly basis to the player but he now belongs to the club. More clubs should be doing this but the top clubs like ourselves, Madrid, the mancs don’t want to be seen to pick up others cast offs.
like salah? give you joe cole, can you tell i really don't like him lol, likes his fecking football my arse money grabbing little chavy ****!!! willian would probably be another cast off as he hasn't achieved much at chelsea for the promise has he? take him.
400k per week for Ramsey is an absolute disgrace 400k per week for anyone who is not saving lives is a disgrace and even then i would think twice. Edging ever closer to the football exit, the game should not be like this. Enough is enough.
You should think about this the next time you go to the cinema and watch a film, even one on TV and see how much the top stars get for pretending. I you don’t like the way top level sport is going then get down at 3pm to your local semi pro club and join 100-200 ‘real’ football fans and get away from it. Grass roots football isn’t something you can brag about following but your £3-5 entry fee keeps facilities and the local community buzzinevery other week.
I’m not sure I believe the £400k value. Gab Marcotti (who covers Italian football) says it’s around £250k. My assumption is that the £400k includes the signing on bonus?
The broadcasters are willing to pay billions for transmitting live matches all over the world. And all this money have been distributed to the clubs. Now they can go to the club owners or to the players or to the fans. The argument is that the players are the real stars and that there would be no matches to broadcast without them. So why shouldn’t they get the lion share? Should some go to the community and to the fans? Definitely. The argument is that the clubs and the players pay tax so a significant proportion go the government anyway. There is a case for a greater proportion going to the local council and therefore to the local community currently in dire straits and less to players.
so it is either £20.8m a year (signing on bonuses included) or £20.8m PLUS bonuses. Either way does not look too shabby for the player. The reality is that these are figures on a spreadsheet. Tax will reduce probably to half. It would make a difference if the player gives donations to charity and to his community. I can’t see players sensibly spending that amount of money on themselves
Well as he is Italy he should follow the advice "When in Rome do as the Romans do" and not bother with such piffling matters like paying tax.
