Aaron Ramsey being offered £400k a week by Juventus People are flabbergasted but for that club it is an absolute bargain and a no brainer. At 400k a week, they are spending £20.8m a year but they are gettting an asset worth say £40m completely free. So if they keep him for 3 years and sell him at that price , they will only have spent £22m over 3 years which is absolutely peanuts. Compared to having to fork out the initial £40m and then the wages of £10m a year.
The only problem will be when the have to renew peoples contracts. They ain't going to be wanting to be paid significant less than someone if he's not as good
The clubs can come to an arrangement. If he is a huge success the price might even go up. So the agreed price could be £60m but then Juventus can subsidise the wages so that if the buyer would only pay him 300k Juventus can lop off £5m-£10m off the price. Which is still a huge bargain for them. For their expenditure on players Juventus are punching well above their weight. They have spent less than us over the years but have got more especially at European level.
It's the knock on effect that's the problem; "if he's getting £400k per week, I want at least that otherwise I'm off..."
Win Win for both player and buying club. The loser is Arsenal. Arsenal could have offered to pay him £400k as he is a free agent and then sell him for £45m-£50m within 1-2 years. The club will have got the services of a top player for 2 years almost for free.
No my point was when all their other stars, dybala, sandro, pjanic go for renewals, they wont be accepting 150k if ramsays on 400k and they will need to pay him parity. Lastly if ramsays **** and they want offload to raise sum money, no one in their right mind will offer ramsay those wages so hes deffo seeing out his contract at juve
I think players and their agents are more sophisticated these days. A bit like Sanchez at the mancs. When a player comes on a free he will get more than if he came for £50m. The player gets some of the benefit. Those who are staying will get offered an appropriate salary but if they do not agree they’ll be transferred. The likes of Juventus and Bayern are lucky in that they tend to get first refusal on the domestic talent.
Juventus are very good at getting players on a free and selling them on. The best in the business. Ozil is already on £350k/week and that could have put Arsenal off. It looks the story is true. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/47203118 https://www.skysports.com/football/...four-year-juventus-deal-worth-400000-per-week
Didnt pogba get an immediate payrise? Pretty sure this is the first time theyve gone ridiculous on the salary front for a free tra sfer though. They captured plenty of bargains on the past but all paid sub 200k and probs much less
even if the quoted amount includes the signing on bonuses etc still doubt it is that much and if it is they obviously aint seen him play.
They had stiff competition from Real Madrid and other top clubs. They would have missed him otherwise. How much would Ramsey command on the transfer market When the likes of our Keita are around £50m ?
Never heard of that real madrid interest but honestly hes not even getting a look in at arsenal let alone these other big clubs. His injury record is ropey and for me hes too inconsistent as well as too hollywood and hes hes 27?
It is confirmed that the 400k is basic. So this might be even more if you include bonuses and other bits.
325k a week according to sky. When on form he’s a very good player, just injury permitting though. The lesser demands of Italy might just help him stay fit. Wonder where that leaves Can though, barely played this year and now is going to be behind Ramsay as well
by whom & where is the link to the contract quoting this. i.e. his wages are just speculation though will be high as he is a free agent but £400kpw ,in the unlikely event is true, is madness for Ramsey as that would mean about £100+ over 4 years when bonuses signing on fees etc are included.
They won't sell Ramsey in a few years imo. No one is going to match that salary so Aaron will sit it out at Juve. Juve would have to part fund his wages voiding any financial benefit
