It says they had to make decision by 9 11 on the Saturday , which is the 72 hours - they were granted the extra 24 on the Saturday which made the 96 - the time ran out tonight at 9 11 - not that well written but that's what it means
If this guy is innocent, then of course we feel for him, but we know very little, compared to what the police know, or suspect. We can only let them do their job and hope Libby can be found alive.
The man was held in custody for four days after police successfully applied to the court for extra time to quiz the suspect on Friday. They had until 9.11pm on Saturday to continue questioning him. That was until, in a rare turn of events, police were granted up to 96 hours to hold the 24-year-old man. You’re not wrong - terribly written. Looks like it means the appeal for the extension granted was an additional 96 hours.
I also skip his posts. I'm not sure why they irritate me by the font alone (irrespective of content) but they do.
IF said accused is guilty of the charges brought before him, he sounds like a ****ing nut. I’d favour a heavy sentence for those charges alone, if guilty of course, and I think merits further scrutiny regardless of the other, more pressing, seeming linkage.
The guys a nutter - being charged with breaking into houses and stealing sex toys and knickers - playing with himself in Wellesley Avenue and watching a couple at it when they didn't know he was there
Thing is, being a perv doesn't automatically make you a killer, so either the police have some evidence but not enough to satisfy CPS for charges regarding Libby, or the killer is still out there. Mind you, if this bloke is found guilty of the charges made so far, then its better for all of us that he's off the streets.
Indeed DB.... I wonder how many, not just from Poland but many of the minority countries in Europe have escaped here without checks on entering. There have been other stories of course. I read in the HDM he's pleaded not guilty to all charges.
It does. The extension granted to the police is not one given for the offences he is charged with. And remanded in custody.
In other words, get him out of the way while they forensically search his property/car for her DNA before he can get back in and get rid/destroy the stuff.
The parlance is “Holding Charge(s)” so they can continue to investigate the more serious offence without looking at the clock all the time.
