You had better hope this takeover happens soon, otherwise your Charlton knowledge is going to look very out of date. You will have to resort to posting about Charlton figures from over 70 years ago like ..

 

At least will still not be as out of date as your dress sense.

Muir is now the only Australian investor, which suggests they are in no position to complete, but the party who walked away after being quoted more than £70m before Christmas are now back at the table.

The club is on its ar5e, and unless Roland reflects that in his asking price any talk of a takeover is wishful thinking. Sitting through a lower/middle premier league game brings it home what a massive rebuilding job we will face come the summer.

 

It's obvious there is no serious effort being made to sell the Club.
These rumours and scraps being thrown to fans are just part of the wider ongoing propaganda exercise at CAFC.

Doubtless there will be another surge of hopeful new stories around March/April, when 2019-2020 season tickets are just going on sale...

 

Ordinary Charlton fans have been repeatedly misled on the takeover over the last couple of years. Either by people in need of £2 coins, or by attention seekers. Let’s not forget that

RD wont like this and will want to mute any form of protest. plus social media seems to be whipping this up a bit.

 

I understand from a very reliable source that there is also internal player unrest in the camp about the contract situation.

 

you can't blame them... if i was on my 3 month wind down from anywhere, i'd be of the mindset "fu*k it, not my problem". you'd have no loyalty for being treated so bad. it's no wonder why performances have tailed off.

 

The better players, like Aribo and JFC will have their agents busy even as we speak.

 

JFC never really wanted to play for us anyway. thought he was too good for L1 if i remember rightly.

 

I remember those rumours, but his performances suggested otherwise.

Its a brave move by Bowyer speaking out on the Joe Mason signing

It reads to me like he is putting it out there who will have sabotaged our promotion bid this season (not that we were ever in any doubt).

I can't quite picture Lee sitting round the table this summer with Duchatelet, discussing next season's transfer budget

 

Bowyer looks like he has had enough to me, openly criticising players as well.
