Westy I think the point you’re missing here is that what I post is not going to be policed by people who disagree with me. I don’t remember saying that Harrison is better at holding play up than Sears, but find me the post in context and I’ll address it. I don’t think I contradict myself, I’ve been banging the same drum for the entire season and under both managers - wrong system - lack of consistent selections - wrong personnel in key areas.
Regardless of what we think about each other, we embarrassed ourselves on TV today. I believe our season’s troubles has come down to poor management from both Hurst, who wasted this summer window signing bad players (and losing good ones, which wasn’t necessarily all his fault) and Lambert. They’ve both been poor managers. And they’ve both contributed to our position at the bottom of the table. Lambert, for all his good PR (and I understand how that appeals to fans after the last two managers) and the occasional home win, has had pathetic form away from home and left us further from safety. Ultimately, bad owners relegate clubs in the Championship. Our owner has not made us competitive enough for a few years now. It’s showing.

Hurst has been and gone. He had massive constraints and was given no time so that’s why I stick up for him. The thing now is Lambert and if we performed like today in every game we would be alright. I don’t think we’ve embarrassed ourselves although Norwich are a top side and turned the screw late on. The trouble is we aren’t performing like that week in, week out. The way we played for an hour against a top side it’s hard to blame it all on the quality in the side.

Undoutedly. But we had a skeleton of a team when Hurst came in. Was he supposed to keep Waghorn and have a depleted team in other areas? I’m not sure what else he could have done. He has also said Waghorn wanted to go. Sears recently said he wanted to leave too, by the way.

If Norwich are the best team in this league then it illustrates just how piss poor this league actually is! The only difference today was that they had a striker who can at least hit a barn door whereas ours are ****e! We more than matched them in the midfield areas and we turned over plenty of possession but we didn't know what to do when we won the ball back! We had 3 gilt edged chances FFS! At least the boys gave their all for the shirt today and it was the best derby gane for a long while.

I would have liked to be playing Woolfy, but there’s still no right back or defensive cover, midfield or wingers or forward options if Waghorn gets injured then. There is not much quality at the club that was already here that’s why he had to get bodies in.
Hurst wasted millions on average League One and League Two players. Come on Hampy, yes, he should have had more money because we made loads from the players we sold (both in transfer fees and trimming the wage bill), but I’ll ask you again, how many Hurst signings have been good this season? Both Hurst and Lambert have been poor this season. Don’t defend Hurst, he left us bottom of the table. And there are idiots on TWTD who defend Lambert. Both managers have been poor and it reflects in this season. Marcus Evans, who has done things on the cheap for years, isn’t beyond criticism either. He’s the ultimate reason we are going down. Poor owners relegate clubs.
Nice to hear from you jonny and I think you've summed it up spot on, we are not a team of kickers and nor should we be but I want to see that fighting spirit every match, sure we will get cards but give me in your face commitment every time.

We had a poor start but we were level with 21st spot and had just beaten Swansea when the decision was made to axe him. I thought that was a mistake at the time and it’s hard to argue now that it was the right call in terms of our survival.
