Redprintt must be ropable right now. Pretty sure when LJ lost 8 on the bounce he was the main man in here calling for him to go - where is he now???

To be fair guys, I too was calling for a change of manager back then - and I am normally accused of being a 'lover' or 'happy clapper'.
    Those were dark times!
Anyway that's all in the past now......

Well I've always been a happy clapper regarding LJ being in charge, but had he been sacked it wouldn't have stopped me contributing on here...And fair play to those that, despite not being keen on LJ, continue to praise when the team are doing well...I actually think, he's one of the best managers we've ever had..The way he conducts himself even with all the criticism he's had at the club....he just gets on with it....he's also willing to change things, when they're not right...He's doing a brilliant job and I really hope he gets the opportunity to get us promoted...

Nice words onefour and I agree with them despite my early condemnation of Lee's appointment. Apparently we haven't had this kind of run since 1905 and currently we sit, after 8 wins on the trot, in the playoff spots. How can anyone complain with those stats?

I am a realist, and need to be with what I get up to as a hobby at my age! done my bit worked for 55 years as a worker mentor and boss …
However, even Alex had his lean times and was able to because he almost had a never ending cash flow stay near or at the top … LJ can easily get stale! people in charge quite often do and change jobs willing or otherwise ! Early in his reign a few, NO a lot lost faith, some to the point of pure unintelligent amoebic and threatening low life behaviour ….
there will come a time when all will not go right we will languish in the doldrums and need to do something ….like get behind, keep behind the manager … Lee
when MICK mC left Ipswich I placed one of my last bets should IPSWICH get relegated and change their manager again I will nett a profit of £4,000! The devil you know !!!
check out the championship where mangers have changed this season how many are working out!

He may/will at some point get stale, but to me he's a breath of fresh air compared to those old cronies out there doing the circuit...I never understood the love in with Pardew & co, most been there done it and get sacked...

I admit to my stance on LJ and that has not changed but you can't deny the facts, City are looking top class, I've alway swore my allegiance to Bristol City FC and that remains, LJ is the man in charge and he deserves all of the plaudits he is getting.

I thought it was too early in his managerial career when we hired him & I still kind of think it was , but he’s now grown into the role.

I like how he allows youth to have a chance , and feel the academy at last seems to be bearing fruit. It’s a difficult balancing act as you are judged on results as a manager , which doesn’t lend itself to building for the future, more the here and now.

My belief is that the reason he wasn’t sacked during the run of 8 losses was because he , rightly, could argue it was a long term task to turn things around, and could point to what he’d done to to allow for long term success.

I’m of the belief the way we are doing things at the moment is the right way long term , I also believe if we have the nerve to see it through , it’s the way that gives us the best chance of success. At this point in time sticking with , and backing LJ is, in my view our best chance of success also.

I’m not sure if that makes me a happy clapper and frankly I don’t care, all I want is whatever is best for my beloved BCFC.

i hope if/when he does he is given time to rectify, or start to listen more to others around him … I think that as part of the success as Man U .. he had a couple of good back ups and when it got sticky they spoke out!
